They'd beat a cold night in Stoke! If we manage to get into a European competition, fingers crossed for a French, German, Belgium, Spanish team etc. Probably getting a little ahead of myself already ...

Didn't we just beat Stoke on a cold night in Stoke..?

Pelle has only just recently passed muster because he measured up to the test of ah, but can he do it on a cold night in Stoke..? And the general consensus of opinion was err... yes he can.

I'm never one for gloating........well........maybe just a bit now and again......But it does have a habit of biting you in the ass......so probably not. My one hope at the moment is to be able to finish way above Spurs......just to get one back on the traitor Pochettino. I don't mind jay going but not to Spurs that in the long run would be a backward step for him as I cannot see them keeping Poch after his first season.....then back to the wilderness for him I hope! Ok I digress sorry.......so no, no gloating .....yet.

??? You get 3 different teams in your CL group.

If we draw Hamburg and Steaua Bucharest again I'll be tempted to go, they were the two most memorable European Saints trips, especially Bucharest, the locals were so cool.

We're 2nd! The grin which seems to be permanently etched on my face says all. Personally I feel no need to gloat as SFC are doing everything right. This team have me daring to believe there's more. Yes, we'll have knock backs, as we did at Liverpool & certainly Spurs but his team, this vastly improved squad, this manager have got something extra I've not seen for a longtime. Need to gloat? No! Dare to dream? Athletico Madrid esq?

What you really want is to work for a company where the office is based in France and you have license to book appointments all over Europe :)

#smuggrin

I feel a question arising whereby I ask not to retire, but be allowed to occasionally visit some of our European offices over the next few years as a "consultant"

now, if you could get me into your 'old' company and I could get some of my stuff specified for their sub-contractors, you'd have to accompany me to Burgundy for an audit ... about the same time as Saints are playing Lyon in Europe :)

Clearly we need to talk ......... you know where I'll be on Saturday around 1.30 :emoticon-0105-wink:

I think one of the top 6.....erm I mean supposed to be top 6 will be 2nd.

Does anyone remember a few years ago when it was the "Big Four / Sky Four"
Man City wrecked that I suppose.

And who is the "top 6". As far as I understand it Spurs count and Everton do not (despite last years league standings).

I assume it means the 6 clubs that have qualified for the Champions League proper over the last decade? Last one outside of that group would have been Newcastle wouldn't it?
