SB3 at least we have not relied on "creative accounting" to get by........and despite your rather bitter and obvious jealousy in regards to our owners......We may indeed have 93% of our turnover going out in wages. That is a lot better than the situation you guys find yourself in. At least we get the crowds to actually afford that kind of turnover. So many of your core supporters have kind of disappeared haven't they.....or are they just on holiday?.....<laugh>

Ted, I refuse to enter into any mass debate on attendance as it will only attract Lord Duckbotherer............I am sure you would not want me to tell him to 'flap off 'back to his own board.<laugh>

What debate could there possibly be when the ridiculously self styled "best fans in the world" cant even fill their own tiny little ground when the rallying SOS call goes out for their precious club? You are going back to your natural habitat and we are heading back to ours. We should all celebrate the restoration of balance in the universe tomorrow!

Judging by recent reports in the media, they have probably gone to literacy classes instead !

We're still in the game because the majority of your shots have high and/or wide, Lambert's been very quiet and Maguire scored a stunner that no one would have stopped.

2-2 will do for me Possum <ok>

Watched on 'Live Stream', and we scored by far, the best two goals of the match. Sharp's second goal, to my mind, was totally offside. The refereee overruled the linesman who had disallowed the goal !

Still, very happy with a draw. You fans must be concerned with Reading's surge up the league, they look unstoppable. It's a "must win" match for Saints home to Reading next Friday - lose, and it will be "loose bowel" time for the remaining matches of the season.

The last thing you want to face, is the "Play-Off Lottery".............

Give it another season or so. Once you've joined the race in the Prem (if you make it) all of a sudden logic and prudence go out the window in the name of success..or survival.

I must admit that I went somewhat mental when Norris scored. Mrs Fish couldn't understand why I wasn't watching the Boat Race until that moment.

Putting the two glorious goals from Maguire & Norris to one side, man of the match must surely be Jamie Ashdown for two magnificent second half saves - the second save tipping that fierce shot over the bar with one hand was incredible.

    Funkdaddy

Totally agree . Portsmouth definately deserved the draw and had McGuire not fluffed his effort early in the second half (the best chance of the whole 90 minutes) I think Portsmouth could have won.

There has been a lot of rubbish on Not606 about how Saints were going to turn over Portsmouth but I felt that Pompey were by far the better side this afternoon and prevented our midfield from passing the ball around and being creative. There was a passion about the way portsmouth played that was totally absent from our performance and the two goals you scroed were exceptional. I would even go as far as saying that Norris' goal is probably the most spectacular goal I've seen at St. mary's and good enough to rival even Le Tissier's finest. I was higely impressed by Chris McGuire (Man of the match in my opinion) and Scott Allan seemed a good acquisition too. Lallana looked very ordinary today , I thought and was outshone by McGuire whose only error was to miss the sitter early in the second half.

On the evidence of your performance today, I really cannot see Portsmouth getting relegated. I was amazed at how well Pompey played and there have been many hogher placed teams who have not been that good in front of the St. Mary's faithful. I'm not sure if it is a blip but this result wil come back to haunt us in our quest for automatic promotion. I said it previously on this board but I think Saints and Pompey will be in the same league next season. Certainly Pompey will stay up.

    cheers

    Ian
