I think he'll prove the high number of those who claimed he isn't a natural goalscorer wrong, which will push the record of Dalglish proving the media wrong about Rafa's squad being responsible for Hodgson's results. The difference is a lot of fans also jumped on the natural goalscorer bandwagon, while nobody believed Agger and Johnson were as pants as Roy claimed.
Natural goal scorer The guy needs to work on his finishing technique a bit. Natural goalscorer The only natural goal scorers are the ones scoring regularly, when they are not on form, they are just natural ?
Label him what you want, I don't give a monkeys. He's paid to create & score goals he is currently creating & scoring goals. I'm happy. I'll take points before records.
You're right, as good as he is, one thing he isn't at the moment is a natural goalscorer. A natural goalscorer instinctively knows where the goal is and what they have to do to get the ball in there. Suarez on the other hand is a very skillful player who tries to use those technical skills to score great goals. Hopefully he can improve in that "score whatever way you can" approach and maintain his current scoring rate.
You don't 'become' a natural' you either are or you're not! Suarez is a very good attacker who I am even willing to call a striker now (following his recent scoring exploits) but he shooting is way too inconsistent for him to be a natural. However, I agree with DirtyFrank. You can label him what you want so long as he keeps doing what he's doing
It was just a matter of time before Suarez got a run of goals. If you look through his career at both club and international level, he has got goals. He scored 17 goals last season in all competitions with a 8 game ban and a hatful of chances missed. The best thing about him is, when he does miss a sitter, it doesn't knock his confidence it inspires him to put the next one away, and that's a great quality to have in a striker, he'll always get goals because he'll always get in the positions and create chances for himself to get them. As for the record? He's fully capable, but as Frank said, I'd take points over records so aslong as he keeps creating and scoring then it's fine by me.
I know what your saying and it is a priceless commodity when players just have that knack. However, I do think you can learn some of the tricks and they become ingrained into the way you respond, so much so you don't need to think what to do it just comes naturally.
