if you have the patience and enough computing power, you can make a fortune mining bitcoins. 1 bitcoin = $372 because of this, computer hackers take over computers to make them into mining machines. What the person is basically saying is that windows 10 is more secure than windows 7, so you are better of upgrading so that there is less chance of your computer being hacked and used to make someone else a fortune. Windows 7 support by MS will end, and no more security patches Windows 10 is currently free, so why not upgrade now rather than pay for it later ? in 1 year or so you will have to change OS anyway. If you have a smartphone, Apple, Android or MS, you are basically giving your private information away for free anyway so upgrading to windows 10 isnt going to make a difference. Same if you use google chrome. if you get windows 10 you can turn off all the information sharing options anyway, you just lose some features.
