Not sure McDermott has any choice but to turn up on Monday. Phil Hay on TalkSport with Stan Collymore thought he wouldn't, but if the " real owners" have not sacked him and stated that publicly, it becomes a bit of a quagmire legally, where McD's best option is to return to work at the appointed time and await his inevitable execution.

His case for constructive dismissal becomes so much stronger after today's result and the impending official sacking when and if Cellino gets agreed.

But GFH have shown a complete inability and lack of business acumen and maturity in allowing this to happen in the first place. It appears to have all happened behind Haigh's back, I don't see him as responsible other than he appeared to back the wrong horse (which may be reinstated after a stewards enquiry), but maybe he will have learnt his lesson that to be at the head of a club like this, you can't act like a goofball on social media. And oyu have to be a man, not a ****ing puppet.

All-in-all, a complete and utter screw-up of 24 hours from which I hope we will grow stronger

I've had a little while now to think about this. Imagine Elland phones you up & says you're fired from your job. Do you think 'that's that then', even if you know that Elland has no authority to sack you?

Hmmm, I'm now really wondering about BM, and how strong/sensible a character he is. Phrases like 'Ask my boss to phone me to confirm your authority', 'I'll comply when I see it in writing' etc. spring to mind. Why didn't he use them?

This is where the whole scenario has been a complete ****up. A lawyer rings you, tells you they have sealed the deal and they are the owners and you are sacked - did McD ring (or try to ring) GFH and ask if they had sold the club? If he did, I can only surmise that these frigging idiots said yes, or they rerfused to take his call suggesting they were no longer in control.

Then they realised overnight they actually hadn't sold the club yet, and they were the ones still in charge, and the FA/FL would be looking at the potential sale critically (even more bloody critically now), and they realised what a complete cock-up they had been in charge of.

I don;t know Haigh's involvement and can't imagine he was a party to any discussions, as he has an interest in a separate bid, so his role was compromised. Which he brought on himself.

Selling the club for only half of what they paid for it shows that these people have no idea at all. Bates will be laughing his cock off.

The one person I have not heard a peep out of recently is Nooruddin. Very strange.

The whole fiasco is ridiculous, and GFH look like complete amateurs. I can't see that they will be trusted in the real business world ever again by anyone in any industry

Nice one. Didn't think our 5-1 win would have gone down well with Dullards. You're still Leeds fans really aren't ya?

McDermott is not stupid. He ensured Uncle was banned within 200 yards of the bench on Tuesday. McDermott also refused to take Italian signings. He must have known his days were numbers, but lets pace it, he'll probably get 1m or something close, he has played a blinder. Really nice guy, professional, honourable and honest.

Cellino says he bought a 75 per cent stake in the club on Friday lunch time and is frustrated at the Football League’s delay in ratifying his purchase.
“I have already paid for the shares and the papers are with the Football League,” he said. There were players from Italy and France ready to join the club on Friday, the deals were agreed.
“I can’t do anything and I’m really p------ off,” he said.
The Football League released a statement on Saturday saying it required information from Cellino’s company, Eleonora Sport Limited, before it could ratify the purchase of the club.

Wonder who the French players were and if Brian even knew they were set to join.

Until he passes the test the final contact can't be signed. GFH didn't give exclusivity and others are still having talks. Not over yet.

Can't see him failing the test, as someone else pointed out he will just name his son as the owner if need be. It sounds like GFH have his money sitting in an account, they don't care who owns us as long as they get their cash. Keeping a 25% stake they are praying Cellino's money gets us into the PL so they can take a another nice slice.

All will depend on how they interpret the fraud plea bargains. Harvey can't just shaft us.

I guess it depends on what different people would see as shafting us.

Some would say that letting the sale go through would shaft us, while others would say that blocking it would shaft us. It's a bit of a catch-22 situation. What is your "shafting" relating to?

Having seen what happened on Friday I think that was 100% Cellino (no proof) and I don't want our club run that way. I would rather stay as a championship club making progress than take his money on the hope of reaching some promised land. So I hope he fails the test, and you?

He has served as vice-president for Serie A in the Lega Calcio and is currently a member of the council for Serie A in the Lega Calcio

I see nothing that could possibly be wrong with him ;)
