Completely agree with Itchen North Matt, however if we could i'd like to see us offload Dickson (not going to get any games with Harding, Fox and Shaw coming through), Forte (won't get any games, i know we are short of strikers but despite this he has not been played so why keep him?) and Forecast (enough said). Jaidi is retiring at the end of the season. I'm unsure whether we should keep Holmes, if we are struggling for wingers at the moment and a defensive minded midfielder is picked ahead of him, de Ridder is ahead of him and when Guly moves back to the wing then he will be too. Many of us on here have identified the right wing as an area that needs strengthening, so as much as i like him, i just don't see him breaking into the team.
I am happy to wait and see what transpires, the truth is that we need new blood and new ideas if the progress is to be continued, there are no certainties in football.
If we make a huge and unexpected signing, I could only see it being someone from abroad or possibly the SPL. Someone who wouldn't see joining us as a step down, which most PL players probably would. I'd be concerned if we signed a player who clearly thought he was better than us.
