If ever there was a reason not to use not606. I see this dullard is alive and kicking over here reapeating the same old rubbish. No originality, no wit and still the only person laughing at his attempted jokes.

I heard that despite not even being at the club, Avram Grant was top scorer for Pompey last season. He got more balls into the old bag than Nugent & Kanu combined.

    Pompey fan in peace.

Saints will finish above Pompey next season. There. I said it.

I have set PFC the target of survival again - at present, with 8 in contract players (albeit - excellent players, Lawrence, Rocha etc) things are not looking to bright for us at this end of the M27.

If we were to play each other today - you would stuff us (we would obviously field some 14 year olds from the youth dev before anyone has a quip about us only having 8 players), but football is a funny old game. Everything and anything can and normally does happen.

IF, and I mean a big IF, we get these russians in and their intentions are good then this whole prediction could change.

Things at this end of the M27 are in the air so much that nothing would really surprise me.

I have just posted on our board that I think the takeover WILL happen on the 1st June - when all players who are out of contract have left. This leaves us with the problem of finding potentially 10 or 11 signings in the next 2-3 months. IF the russians take over then i can see this happening, whether they be permanent signings or a team made up of loans to atleast take us through until January.

This is Portsmouth Football Club - anything and everything will happen - we are used to it now!

Good luck next season - you will need it, The Championship is a whole different kettle of fish to League 1, but I am sure you will survive at a minimum, something that I want to see happen, just not at our cost! :)

Thats better CBK !, you have obviously had a reversal procedure of the 'sense of humour by- pass operation' since we last crossed swords! <ok>

Anyway GTG for now, I can't wait to swap insults and engage in good banter next season!...................

DS try to lighten up a little , everyone else has! <whistle>

News just in; Avram Grant has just signed a new contract.

He's getting 200 free texts and 300 inclusive minutes.

It's not like we haven't been in the Championship before, we know what to expect.

You have been in the Championship before - but not with the same squad! You have a lot of players without the higher league experience and only time will tell as to how you get on!

Davis, Fonte, Harding, Jaidi, Richardson, Butterfield, Chaplow, Schneiderlin, Lallana, Hammond, Holmes, Connolly.

These are the current Saints (off the top of my head) that have higher league experience. you'll notice that this includes most of the first team.

Its only up front that we're a bit weak, and that is easily solved.

Our squad at the moment is better than the one we had in the championship. You forgot our manager too.

Dickson has a couple of Championship appearances, and you can add in Bart, Forte and Mills (whose situation isn't clear). And Guly who has played in Serie B. So...about 75% of our squad then.
