would that be the same one Jermain Defoe uses, age is irrelevant if you can still cut it you have still got it
Don't see it from a local mate - just think he's out of form. Don't see it from most of them to be honest - they may be "moved on" but I reckon there'll be a nice little bonus if they do go up
Lots of different opinions on here like, just go with the flow, what will be, will be.. We ain't a negative club anymore, it's been a bit disappointing at the end but a **** load better than a year ago.. If it means another year in League 1 then just relish the fact that you are here, watching and supporting the club..
In the Coventry game we didn't do it - Just let them have the ball. The Donny game we pressed and it paid dividends - can't work out why they do sometimes and not others
We couldn't really press Coventry because we were outnumbered in midfield due to playing 442. You let yourself become outnumbered in midfield and the other team can just play round you. Its basic really.
If you are nervous, this will transmit itself to the players. You guys are the best footballing side in the play-offs, so feel confident that you can do it. If you go up at our expense so be it. Furthermore, I feel you are better prepared for the demands of that división than the others, and following a promotion, I feel that momentum could carry you forward towards the play-offs zone, like it did with Southampton and Norwich.
If that is the case, one or two prudent signings should suffice. Added to that you will be hardened to the demands of beating mediocre L1 teams to propel you forwards. But things ain´t over just yet. Enjoy the ride. Perhaps you can do yourselves a favor by winning your games on Saturday, and keeping fingers crossed Pompey come unstuck against Accrington. Then you avoid Charlton.
Maybe playing Charlton home and away would be better than meeting them in the one off final, either way someone has to beat them and it may as well be us. We should try and win on Saturday too, we have a squad that should be capable, even without the likes of McGeady and Grigg.who hopefully will be fit enough to play some part in the play-offs. we live in hope
a little butch ? hehe. I laugh at all the hatred on my comments. Ross and the lads have not got us up, they did 31 years ago as champions so why not now ? and players like Benno who had loads off days like 85 and 90 but he was good most of the rest of the time. I would praise this club for the trophies/play offs we have won but can't.
6 points off 7 games. That's relegation form not promotion form. Unless our defence is improved and we get someone who can score goals, next season is division one mid table.
Positive thoughts time... both us and Portsmouth will be on a downer going into the play offs having finished the season poorly. So there’s no reason we can’t win it. Nothing to be scared of!
