Oddball couldn't disagree with Queens more. As a matter of fact this type of opinion goes against every fibre in his being as regards to football.

But notice how he encourages him to feel free to give his opinion no matter what.

Now there's a man who knows the ways of the World.

Yeah but, to be perfectly frank with you, I find the manner in which it is done a little patronising. Freedom of speech and all that.

There's freedom of speech and then there is going around in circles.
One is good, and one makes you a dizzy ****!

I was trying (but clearly failing) to articulate an opinion that the way DT encourages others to exercise freedom of speech occasionally comes across (to me, at least) as a little condescending.

As for the 'playing the ball' philosophy, I just hold the view that it is far better to tackle the argument head on rather than throw personal insults at the person that has made it. There are many cases on this board where personal comments are made and then passed off as 'just banter' afterwards when objections are made. I think if this is one's 'response of choice', then it possibly indicates a lack of maturity, intelligence and common courtesy.

I would agree with the OP to a certain degree
I would start with Cisse and Zamora up front against Norwich at the expense Taarabt
I am sure the team would be more solid and stronger up front even with our leaky defence

Uber, did you find the keys to the Liquor Cabinet a couple of hours ago? The wife mustn't have hid them well enough this time.

What is it with you Col,because we dont agree it does not mean a discussion has been won or lost.IMO if he loses the ball in our half because hes trying to beat everybody in the midfield, then the least he can do is try and get it back not stand there looking around like he cant give a toss.Once again we agree to disagree.

Erm... Kevin Philips scored 30 goals in a Prem season so I wouldn't start gloating about your footballing prowess quite yet mate. ;)

COL is an integral part of this Board and I won't hear anyone say otherwise. Nevertheless, Ruislip you are correct in that he finds divergence of opinion very difficult to deal with.

Woe betide the man who criticizes Taarabt even when he's had an absolute stinker. I can't figure out why he idolizes him so.
