Just after winning the Ashes I would of said yes, but now we're 3-1 down in the series against Australia thanks to some poor performances with the bad. For me the bowling hasn't been a worry, even though we're on our second string attack, but fast bowling won't be so effective on the sub continent, and for that I'm surprised they didn't include Finn because he is a wicket taker. Will our spinners be able to repeat the performances of our quicks in Australia and will our batsmen finally stop being cheaply dismissed?

I'd love to think England could win the World Cup but really cannot see it happening. I'll be chucking a few quid on India!

I think the best England are going to do is a semi final place.

I think India will win, with the other 3 semi-finalists being South Africa, Australia plus 1 from England, Pakistan and Sri lanka

Not with the balance of the current side. you can not rely on having Yardy and Collinwood as two of your five bowlers. Two of six yes, but not two of five.

Will we manage to survive the 300 week tournament, the length of it will lead to terminal boredom long before the end. And will England win it, N0

Well, Anderson, Broad, Swann and Bresnan should be there for the world cup, so that leaves Yardy and Colly 10 overs between them.

I think we'll fair better than the last few World Cups (not difficult I know!) when we get Jimmy, Broad, Swann and Brezzy all back in the team. Having said that I still think India are the clear favourites

Yes I think they can, although I don't think they will.

There are 3 strong teams: SL, Ind & SA
4 intermediate: Aus, Eng, Pak & NZ
and 2 that can cause a surprise: WI & Ban

As a betting man I have a few bob on Sri Lanka at 11/2.
