I disagree about connolly, I like him, but I do think eric is a better player.

But if you think we need a right back thats, 6 first team players we need and probably 7 with gradel going

Connolly tends to get booked a lot, and he was a tad injury prone ......... so another right back would be a safe option, Lichaj as first choice without a doubt, connolly as backup. We need

    2 GK's
    1 x RB
    1 x LB
    2 x CB
    2 x CM
Swap Paynter for a better striker

LIW, if they wanted him bad enough wouldn’t they just gazump the price? That’s all I’m thinking about it.

It’s the ebay of the football world LMAO

    Exactly how I said it,

If other teams want him they would pay that bit more to get him!

the fee however is undisclosed so it could be 50p or 5 million!

If another team came to Leeds and said we will give you whatever Leicester are giving, Leeds will just say whats point in messing around its not worth it, but if they go to Leeds and say I will give you what Leeds are offering plus 500k or plus a CM, then Leeds could change to their offer.

    U get me?

What messing about would leeds have to do apart from say, you've permission to talk to kasper. They have to do nothing.

And obviously Leeds want to sell him, so giving kasper more options make sense.

And your both totally wrong, clubs would just match the bid, and they would know what the bid is from kasper agent.

Why pay extra when a bid has been accepted.

Not a chance. They would offer the exact same fee (and they could technically sue Leeds if they decided to reject it) and instead use any extra money to tempt the player with better wages.

LIW's right, it would be madness to bid higher than asking price for a player. Once one club sets the precedent, no-one's going to pay above the odds. I'm actually optimistic for once this summer. Seems like Grayson might have a bit of money to spend for once and last season, we were widely expected to fight for consolidation rather than promotion, so that reflected the first wave of players we brought in who were largely disappointing. We made a great start in Grayson's first League One season where promotion was expected, now hopefully we'll do the same under similar expectations in the Championship.

Obviously it's tempting to imagine Jason Brown will be the replacement keeper, we'll get some clunky plodders in midfield and sell Gradel and Snodgrass, but I'm taking it as it comes rather than forming any premature conclusions. I also think with the talk about Grayson's personal end-of-season review he did, he'll hopefully have assessed his mistakes over the last three years and will now avoid them.

Fair enough, I’m happy to concede when I’m wrong.

I just thought it would make sense to do that :)

I just hope we dont bring any loan players in at all, or maybe one at the most.

I want to see us building for the next 3-4 years, and if that means no promotion challenge but we're going in the right direction, then i'll be happy.

But we don't build under grayson, mainly aging players or short term loans,

Im not conceding im wrong cos I still think I'm right,

All your points are valid but so are mine.

I haven't had much experience in buying professional footballer myself though so I could be wrong but if anyone has had experience of multi million pound signings could advise :)

    FIFA doesn't count

Kissa, you do know how hard it it to admit I’m wrong to him…

Its easy for you you barely see him, I’m sleeping with the little git and hes infuriating at times.

Must be harder to sleep with him than to admit your wrong :)

LIW in your opinion im wrong :)

    On another note,

If you where told we could get 5 players into the club who would they be?

realistic to Leeds United in the Championship.

my one real target would be Darren Pratley

But if Darren Pratley has turned down Swansea's contract, then surely he's got options in the Prem. Jack Cork is available for £750,000, and Tamir Cohen is a free transfer. They'd be two quality signings.

Jack Cork is that the lad who was on loan at Burnley?

Too much like Howson imo lightweight too not worth 750k

Cohen is decent but will be on high wages

He's not like Howson at all from what I've seen. Much more defensive player, plays holding mid or across the back line and gets involved in the game a lot more than Howson. I doubt Cohen's on very much, he transferred to Bolton from the Israeli Premier League pretty much knowing he'd be backup.
