I do agree with you though when you say it is about time that they started to claim a place in the first 11 at QPR before they started to say they have international ambition. What I do find amusing is that supporters can often rip the piss out of players wanting to prove themseves worthy of playing at a higher level. DJC has been ill and I hope that he can get us more goals than he got Blackpool. Barton on the other hand has ability, but has he got it mentally and tempermentally to play at a higher level? If someone like DJC can get a call up to the national squad, then the whole club gets a lift. Lineker was a lot more than a goal hanger mate. He was one of the best goal scorers England have ever had!! DJ simply isn't in his class I'm afraid.
Good post Swords credit where it's due. Not knocking the football player just the fact that his ego has its own orbit. For the sake of his own credibility I suggest a full public apology and that he donate one of his teeth to charity.
