Extremely shocked and saddened by the news this morning. Absolutely tragic for someone so young. RIP Campbell

I'm struggling to believe it. I think he was destined for the very top.

Interview with Campbell after winning the Albert Bartlett ......................... can't believe horse and jockey are both gone. How poignant that Sturart Machin suggests they might be back for the Gold Cup in a couple of years ............................ it wasn't to be

Devastating news, especially as he is 5 days younger than me. That really brings it home.

Cannot believe that both he and Brindisi Breeze are no longer with us little more than 3 months after Cheltenham.

    RIP <rose>

Terrible news, particularly for a guy so young, and with so much to live for.*

Without wanting to speculate, it just goes to show the dangers of excessive use of Alcohol, particularly if you don't have a sober friend around to supervise:biggrin:*

    From this morning's paper:

".... local police did subsequently report that Gillies and his friends returned from an evening out and went for a morning swim at around 8am local time (6am BST). Gillies was swimming in the pool, went under the surface and failed to come back up. Police reported no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death."
