It really isn't. That's the exact thing we don't want people to think. If it's just us having a moan it sounds no different (to the uninformed) to FC moaning about the Jonny Whitely pictures. Just bitter nonsense. If other fans' clubs show that they agree with us it highlights that football is united on this, which it should be.
Mr Tickler, nobody has to invite the forest faithful to join us, it was just a suggestion someone made. It is possible and do-able. Do you have some pre concieved idea's about how those forest fans may or may not behave? should they choose to be a part of it. Are they not football fans too? Do they not have similair issues?

I did not mean on a wider scale. In fact a protest by all fans should be organised by the FSF and we should march on downing street. But for this aturday ISPLT we cannot risk any trouble. If there is then thats it. As things stand the WYP are on there own. Sadly some Hull and Forest fans will use this for there own means given half a chance. What would also carry more weight is if at the front of the march where older folks and people in wheel chairs who dont have or need carers. Also, does anyone have any idea what restrictiosn the family and friends of the players and club staff have had imposed on them ??

It's not about how many turned out, it's about raising awareness to the issues, and it's certainly done that with contact with clubs in over 10 Countries as well as as Paper, radio and tv coverage. Not bad in a short space of time. Well done to those that arranged it.
I can't believe so many City fans are so negative and apathetic about this protest. Desperate to pick fault and poo-poo it. It's sad that people are more bothered about petty little squabbles than the massive injustice that's going on and affecting all of us.
Here we go again, someone with an opinion judging others and making assumptions. Have you stopped to consider that some will have supported the early stages of emails, posts and survey, but once national supporter networks and political bodies became involved they decided that it should take due process for now; as you rightly say, this is bigger than us. I believe the legal case is progressing? Do you think WYP will concede anything further? If not, then why not protest by supporting your club and letting the organisations that have been stirred drive it nationally? Our first priority was was raise this to national awareness, which we have done, our next is to get behind our team and show WYP that we can do both despite them.
Unfortunately it's not. Your second paragraph is a reasonable question and yes I am beginning to think maybe that is the case. I'm happy to support a boycott if convinced it serves a purpose but right now I'm not really sure what the intended purpose of it is. That's why I want to discuss it with those in favour of a boycott rather than sneer at how many people joined the pre-match protest on Saturday.
I think that on the other thread there was only one post that came close to sneering at the protest, just as there was one that openly criticised passers-by for appearing uninvolved, which is probably exactly what they were and why not? Perhaps the lack of progression with the legal bid reflects the ability of WYP to dictate terms (as I suggested to OLM); it might suggest that a phase of high-level lobbying and business-as-usual support is now appropriate. I have always supported the full rejection of our allocation, but the partial option we are faced with is divisive and lends opportunity to rabble-rousers (is that any better than bovver-boys? ). It is still a **** situation , but I think a more progressive approach is now called for, involving supporters groups and industry bodies / politicians at a national level - there is a chance that the police authorities will think twice in the future about being so Draconian, but then again, if not, perhaps it will be another club who can protest, with our support, until the situation might see sense. During the whole course of the last thread, this is exactly what I was trying to get across, that there is more ways than one to skin a cat and everyone has a right to follow their own conscience without being made to look like some sort of traitor or scab. I think we have to be cautious of not getting caught- up in the collective moment of it all and taking our eyes off the team support that is more vital than ever now. There was a very good heads- up by cafe (OT), about the two quid surcharge on tickets - perhaps that can be more readily be contested?
