Just been at a pub in Newmarket after todays racing and there was a large group of young lads sitting. As more and more joined we asked them what the occasion was.
They replied that they were the Cambridge United team who had just avoided relegation by beating Forest Green and MK Don's getting beat.
However, I was amazed at how young they looked, with the majority looking no more than 25 and didn't see anyone that looked over 30. When I mentioned this o enough them said they have had to concentrate on youth with having the smallest budget in the league.
Nice to see.

Nowt wrong with youth :-)

Good for them. I remember them coming to Roker many years ago when much was being made of their long ball game and hearing the comment 'that must have been a short long ball'

Cambridge had a decent team 2nd half of last season so I'm surprised they have struggled this season. Obviously they have had to lose a few I guess.

The John Beck era? He did an unreal job, div 4 to div 2 playoffs where he lost to Leicester, who had offered him their job. Had Dion Dublin up front. Canny side, route one definitely, but they werent the only ones doing that 30 years ago.
