I saw some former United oplayers come out beforehand and say it was overdramatised but I thought it was quite tasteful and a really good watch. As someone who obviously wasn't about at the time, it was good to at least see how the experience must have been and I think it was well portrayed.
Might have to watch some old clips of Busby, Jimmy, Edwards to see if the actors got them spot on or not. I enjoyed the programmme. Very moving and shows what a great club Utd is, imagine what Edwards could have achieved if not for the tragic event. Makes people see what an English legend Sir Bobby Charlton is too.
Yeah definitely. Even as a United fan, I sometimes wonder if Edwards as a player has somehow been romanticised because of the tragedy but then you think of how great that team was and how he was pretty much universally recognised as the best at that time. He was so young too. We'll never know about just how good he was and could have been amongst legends who had such great careers but the emotion and his strength could definitely be felt during that programme.
