That's your opinion. I think it very ****ing strange. I love steak me, love it, absolutely love it. I mean, I'd never actually eat it but I'll still talk about how much I love it.
Aye, it was one of my dafter decisions that turned out okay, more by luck than good judgement. Other times, I've had emails at times letting me know who it was I was arguing with. It didn't change my argument one jot, but I did read my replies several times before clicking send. From experience, some people make comments on here that they won't make face to face.
How can you say that when you've never met me? I'd say it was a bit dim to contact someone to ruin a carefully orchestrated touching surprise that the same someone wasnt involved with and other people had worked on for a long time, but there you go.
Yeah. Was. Back when a group of us was using Usenet to organise stuff. Not nowadays, its a small handful of very bitter old men.
No way to talk about the OAP from Northampton. Lunchbox and quite a few others are considerably younger than yourself. By the way it is it's.
People in glass houses'... Anyhoo, they might be younger than me, but they're a ****e load more bitter! Sides, I don't consider myself old.
You are compared to Quill. I don't feel old at 65. Feel like I did in my twenties. At least inside. When I think of my grandad when he was 65 with his flat cap and pipe and the way he dressed the contrast with 65 year olds now is amazing. My dad's lot bynthebtome they were 65 were dressing better than when in their 30s and 40s and in some ways looked younger. Nowadays 65 year olds just dress the way they always have, or at least as far as expanding waist lines and diminished muscle tone will allow. Receding hair lines are of course something you can't do anything about. As an example think of how you look and compare the likes of Harold George .Brown etc when they got into power who were younger then. Or many of the TV stars of the 1950s and sixties who were considerably younger than you are. Tony Hancock being a prime example. I remember when I was about 45 reading that my old headmaster, who I had many a run in over haircuts and non standard wearing of uniforms, had died. I was amazed to discover that this silver haired figure who I thought had been around since the time of Mr Chips and stayed on after retirement as a sign of his love of teaching (and the chance to exercise authority whilst living in a very comfortable school house) was in fact younger than my 45 years of age at the time.
I'm talking about your posts in general. When was the last time you had something positive to say about anything?
They did get rid of all the history though. So there's nowt to go back on. I have seen a few times where the mods have deleted posts pretty quickly, as a poster pushes it, I assume.
There is moderation on CI, it's just very relaxed, mainly just switching the non-football stuff onto the plus site.
Well that's very true. Im much more down with the kids than my dad ever was. You're right too, at 50, I am not the same type of 50 my dad was, nor my grandfather. I genuinely don't feel, nor act, like what I imaged a 50 year old ever would.
Can only recall a few posts being deleted because real names were mentioned, and quite rightly so, and the odd very offensive post. Of course people's idea of what constitutes offensive varies from person to person.
