he didn't say that at all. he just pointed out two separate pieces of information. you added "entirely related". in fact, if anything, he was pointing out that you wouldn't expect it to be that way round.
Yep. It was the first time I'd met him. He'd been challenging people to meet him, rather than just pass comment on a forum. From what he'd put, I knew he wasn't far away from where I was, so I thought it was a good time to take up the challenge. He bought me a pint.
There were too distinct forums though. Neither which was " full of" thecstuffbyou mention. The football one has declined dramatically and that is for City and football in general related issues. The disillusionment of those people and their lack of interest now is shown by so few, if any, of them stopping posting on there but resurfacing on other boards.
Because they don't really have moderation, other than banning people when its got out of hand and it's regularly full of **** about 'curly slipper ragheads'.
There's a lot more moderation than items relating to racial discrimination and you know it. As for the other part - 1 - you always bring that up and I was drunk at the time of posting 2 - it's actually true.
They moderate in other ways as far as I understand it, but it still seems busy, but I've no idea what that has to do with my reply to the claim you made about CI.
I wasn't talking about CI, I was just referring generally to forums that don't moderate the content, as Bummers suggested should happen on here. It applies far more to the Sunderland board, than it does on CI, I'd rather avoid stuff like this on here... http://www.not606.com/threads/muslims-a-fresh-debate.303795/
But your original remark about posters leaving a board because it was full of remarks about curly slipper ragheads was in response to a post about the City CI Forum. What on earth has the Sunderland board to do with that? Apart from the fact that the ones who have disappeared weren't in the main easily offended types who would have been put off by that anyway or have ignored them.
Bollocks, there's very little moderation, it's not generally necessary, most people are happy to bide by the couple of rules set and there's hardly any stuff deleted. I really couldn't give a **** why you posted it and as you try and bring up Warren Joyce calling me as often as you can, you can get to ****.
Yes, remember it. Sometimes might not be a good idea though.I remember someone telling originalpsycho they would like to see him repeat his remarks face to face and a good job they hadn't met. He didn't say anything but the good fortune of them not meeting and discussing it face to face was entirely that of the other poster.
I'd moved on to moderation of boards generally, I should probably have been clearer, I was really just taking a pop at Bummers for wanting an unmoderated board when he had one and stopped using it (there really isn't any issue at with moderation on CI nowadays, as you're obviously already aware).
Ok ladies calm down. Even I realised Lambo was talking about moderating in general, and he's right. As much as I generally dislike moderation, and I may on occasion have an issue with it, the majority of the time it's done with an even and fair hand on here, and it adds to the general feel of the forum. This forum isn't like AN or CI, it's a proper mix of all sorts of fans, and in some cases trolls, but it's still a good forum. I'm starting to wonder if we need a Billy Big Bollocks thread where some of you can get the angst you display about certain other posters off your chests rather than sniping needlessly in ones that could be interesting.
Fair enough. You didn't make it very clear as your first mention of curly slippers and ragheads was a reply quoting myself on the subject of the disappearance of so many CI posters and the reasons I thought they had gone.
I had a thread I created regarding that day's news deleted before anyone else had the chance to reply and it didn't break any of the rules. Just somebody didn't like it. I thought the rules, as stated by you yesterday, were if you don't like it just don't reply. I bring up you loving Hull so so sooooo much but you cant bring yourself to live there a lot more.
