The mackems really are incredibly bitter like, they just cant admit hes a good player, all arguing amongst themselves about it.

One toon fan on there, chipping in with balanced comments about his ability and getting called deluded.

If there was ever a thread to sum up the Sunderland inferiority complex this is it.

Let them **** off to our players... Their issue.
We're only interested in other top teams... Not the bottom feeders.

Absolutely love it. At least you can say Sunderland have the most balanced supporters of any team in the prem - chip on both shoulders !!

All just chit chat. They have to come up with the the money first. Same as for Cheik. I don't think many PL managers and owners are gonna be happy lining Newcastles pockets by paying out the 20m plus Mike is gonna want for each. Are they worth it? Not really but these are the inflated prices you pay for our players these days.

History shows us that Man Utd get most of their transfer work done before July, the major exception being Berbatov. With Cabaye going to the Euros and Man Utd reluctant to pay what we value Cabaye at, I think the move is unlikely for all parties

If it was a different club being linked with him the inflated price would be less of an issue, but SAF very rarely spend silly money. When he does spend big it tends to be value for money. We will want more than he is worth and cant see Man Utd being interested in that.

It's clear that the powers of Sir Alex Ferguson are on the decline, but surely with Scholes playing on for another year, he's not going to buy Cabaye until at least next summer? It would make little to no sense paying out £20m+ for a player who he could get much cheaper next summer.

Unless of course, France win Euro 2012 and Cabaye is the main reason behind it - Manchester City will then pay £45m for him... nay bother! <cheers>
