    The Telegraph believe Cabaye may have undergone a medical in Monaco without the consent or knowledge of the clowns in the boardroom in the assumption that any fee would not be a problem. they also believe that Cabaye could be in hot water and a bid upwards of £15m will be hard to turn down now.

    The Independent also claim that Newcastle have rubbished claims that Yohan Cabaye is in Monaco undergoing a medical ahead of a £23m move.

    Assuming the paper's source is a good one, we're reading this as Cabaye isn't going to Monaco at this precise time. They said:

    "However, sources at Newcastle have insisted Cabaye is not in Monaco and that a deal has not been agreed to sell him to the Ligue Two champions. Instead they insist there have been no offers for a player who spent large parts of last season as their captain and that he remains a part of Alan Pardew's plans."
