To be honest since the SAFC fans started joining in, I'm finding the jokes are getting too cheesy.

In Montreal they call it a poutine. And they're practically French.

Plenty of players get found out when mixing with top players, take Fellaini for example.

No matter who we have lined up this will be utterly devastating to our season if it happens. Not afraid to say that in this kind of form he is one of the best midfielders to play for us in the PL era.

Well, we're used to ****e football, so what are you waiting for?

Maybe Shola and Obertron will go over for a season or two, so you don't feel left out.

Agree. While the £35m for Mandy was simply too good to turn down (and helped fund half a new team), I'd be far more gutted if Cabaye goes right now, in the kind if form he's in.

In the Summer he's very likely to go, especially if he shines in the World Cup. But it would be great if he were here until the end of the season.

Summer for me. It would disrupt things a little now. I expect him to go (he is too good for us), and hopefully it'll be after a stunning season with a fantastic world cup behind him. Then we can coin it.

Cabaye is good enough to play in any side. I hope it is PSG. They will pay silly money and we won't come up against him.

At the end of the day, he's leaving one way or another.
It's just a case of when and to whom.

I would rather he was to stay until the summer, but, nobody knows what's been discussed with him and if it's true that he is willing to invoke the 'Webster Ruling' and buy himself out of his contract after the WC as recently reported, his value could potentially plummet to the thick end of £6m maximum.

This what fans have to understand with the modern game. If you are gonna lose 15m-20m then its a no brainer.

Actually, what we have to understand is the facts behind what the Webster ruling is. Cabaye cannot afford £6m, he doesn't have that in his bank, he cannot write that cheque. PSG cannot fund it for him, they cannot boost his bank balance by £6m or write a cheque for him. If that was the case, Gareth Bale could not have cost Real anywhere near £82m. Same for Cavani, Torres, or even Andy Carroll. Even if Carroll had just signed a 5 year, £5m a year contract, if this ruling was black & white he'd have been around £25m.

It would be lovely to think we lived in a world where a journo's job was to keep people informed of the truth. Sadly, in this day and age, scaremongering on any level is pretty much the job description - truth only has to have a loose association.

Back on topic, my own feeling is that this is near a done deal. It never made any sense why we seemed to suddenly have sprouted £20m to fund the bare minimum of deals for Cabella and De Jong. We all knew Cabs was done at some point, and I think all of us would always take PSG above, say, Man U or Arsenal. So long, and thanks for all the fish.
