    He sounds decent, but I'd like to see him retain the ball so well when he has players like Karl Henry crashing into him. It's unfair to compare players based on stats, particularly when the standards of their respective leagues are so different. The tempo of the Premier League is much higher, you have to execute your passes faster or you'll be caught in possession. I think even Fabregas would struggle to match Cabaye's stats, but we all know who the better player is.

    By the sound of it, Cabaye could also do Tiote's job, which is useful because there's no obvious replacement for him when he's out. We have a lot of competition for places which should serve us well in the cups next season.

    Cabaye got 10 yellows last year.

    Could challenge Cheik to being the most booked player next year. Will have to hold on to Nolan/Barton/Guthrie because these two will certainly get a couple of bans by the sounds of things!
