Thank you; you never fail to please. Comparing him to John White does indeed leave nothing else to be said, as mature followers of The Beautiful Game would know. But I'm not a Spurs supporter, though they are a delight to watch, this season. Maybe you should give it a try -- you might actually like it. And no, I would never suggest such a vile thing. That's not my style at all.

Did Dele Alli's goal remind anyone of a goal from last year, perchance?

Both are class, but one's Sunday League and the other in the Prem. No contest for me.

    Ok, if you say so.

As his nickname, when playing, was "The Ghost" I'd suggest you referring to him as "Lightening John White" in reference to his death by way of being struck by lightening does indeed make it your style.

Of course being a Spurs supporter you'd know a lot more about the player than your average City fan sat 200 miles away, without mobiles, Sky, SSN or MOTD.

There's one exception to that rule JE - the World Cup winning team of 1986 were built around Diego Maradona, the rest of that team were mostly average; when he went to Napoli they'd never won the title (nor had any other Southern Italian team) - with him in the team they won it twice, runners up twice, they won the Coppa Italia, the EUFA Cup and the Italian Supercup. Cheating little so n so he may have been but, on his day he was almost unplayable. Even more remarkable, this was all accomplished in the days when it was de rigueur to kick lumps off the more skilfull players.

Edited to add correct date ............. ta Quill!

Whatevvveeer. I remember being heartbroken when my favourite player of the time met his tragic end. There weren't any memorable players at Citeh at the time; we supporters went to support the team, even though they were crap players. But that didn't stop us going. Every week. It only cost about a tanner (Google it).
Most mature followers of the game will remember Martin Peters as being best-known as The Ghost. There was also a star Cuban 400/800m runner, Juantorena, known as White Lightning, or for the lexically challenged, Wite Lightening.
Though we oldies often can't remember yesterday, most of us can remember minute details from several decades ago. We don't need Google, except for things that happened yesterday.
It's strange, but despite LOTS of practice, you just don't ever seem to improve.

Whatever, it's ****ing whatever. Spelling it as you do, along with sticking in your "inits" only succeeds in making you look a patronising ****.

How many times did you see your favorite player play? You were that heartbroken you gave him an insensitive nickname, way to go Victor Mature.

You oldies can remember them times but the City players weren't memorable? Strange. City were **** when I started going but I can remember many of the names, funnily enough even most of the **** ones.

Martin Peters was 20 when John White died & had played around 50 games, John White was known as "The Ghost". You gave John White a made up nickname based on the way he died, you're tragic. Peters may have carried the name, but it was after John White's time.

Juantorena was 13 when John White died. He didn't come to prominence until more than ten years after White's death. Although I'm ****ed if I know why you mentioned him because it has no relevance. Unless you wanted to emphasise the "White" as part of your White Supremacy movement.

Your memory is ****e along with your knowledge of City, but that's because you've never supported City. You're a Lilyshite.

By "mature" I'm guessing you mean old as you're actually very immature,? Can younger posters not know about the history of the game? Many know a lot more than you do.

Why do you come out with **** like "The Marty Targers" & "Citeh" ? It makes you look stupid. It's the type of **** a Hull White or a Hull Red would say when taking the piss, or a Hull Lilyshite, come to think of it.

You're a phoney. A Spurs fan, A Lilyshite. When given the chance to name your favourite City XI you just criticised (critising others whilst offering nothing is what you do best, so no surprise really) other's choices & justified it by saying as you're so old people wouldn't remember your choices. Now you say them players weren't memorable. You're full of **** old timer.

You've made more posts about your favourite Spurs players & how you want Spurs to win the League than you have about City.

For someone who doesn't feel the need to use Google you know all about it & suggest others use it all the time. Why? You should use it, because you come across as knowing nowt. You do it as you believe adopting a patronising manner helps you to fulfil your need to appear superior to others? You're not by the way. You're inferior in most things, apart from been ****, You excel at this, well done you.

I'm driving my Mercedes to the airport tomorrow parking up & flying out to Portugal for a few days away from the cold., I know this will annoy you greatly & as such you'll believe me to be lying & a fantasist, as you've previously suggested. Envy is a really ugly personality trait, you should speak to someone about it.

    Fake.

Spurs are on the way to Wembley ..... come on sing along .....

    Fake.

No HCAFC related posts on the last 16 City related threads, mention of Spurs & you're on it like a rash.

Don't rush back, you've been outed.
