Wish you luck with that BC. Changing managers is a bit like changing wives. The acid test is after the honeymoon. Still, it worked for us, and it can work for you.

cheers Goldhawk. Watching who you guys are in the market for with interest. Think you could have a good season next year, with a settled pre-season.

Hey BC, just so you know, a good number of rangers fans wish you and Swansea well with managerial changes. I think next year will be even tougher (and with Championship fair play rules, more important too!), but I hope all three of us stay up again. For me, Lee Clarke would be a great shout!

But can they play so good and look so talented under some other manager guidances.....? I believe lambert was the main architecht of your fine team and he was the main tactic wizard too. So is your playing system so good that the possible new manager wont change it bring his own players with him? Hughes had four months time and five good players to go with and he did escape just barely. Im only saying.......

The manager is always important and clearly he has played an important role at Norwich over the last few seasons, but surely the players, coaches and everyone else associated to the club deserve a great deal of credit too. For me the players are the ones that need to and have performed for Norwich. As long as a half decent manager comes in and the squad is retained or improved on, they have every chance of achieving a similar result next season.

On the other hand, I remember another team (Ipswich I think!) having a fabulous debut season and then an awful second season in the prem...

Either way, hopefully the Rs can take 6 points off em next season ;)

cheers QPR, i agree. Lee Clarke would fit the brief. I'd be worried about Norwich's future if we'd lost our money man McNally, but with him there, i feel confident we'll navigate through this as best as possible! Anyway i have very little stress and disappointment to expend on NCFC at the moment, as im saving it all for the much more pressing case of the england football teams fortunes at the euros!

well obviously this is going to come down to personal opinion, but i believe our players have qualities that are independent of Lambert. They're fitness, determination (covered a massive distance last season between them) and their never say die attitude to the game are qualities that they as players own, and if a manager comes in who supports those ideals, there's nothing to say they'll lose them.

For your sake i really hope you are right. However i do really admire lambert and think that he was the man who put the never die attitude in your players.

I think you're probably right, but its harder to learn something like that than it is to remember it!

On the one hand they are far better off than when he joined them, on the other hand the likes of Bruce, Megson, Hart and McCarthy out there who are freely availably must mean its squeaky bum time until the new man is announced.

At least you wont get Magilton.

its a managerial minefield out there!

I can't remember but I did post this before the city game I think ... I have a friend who seems to know a lot about Villa I mentioned then that AMc was sacked three matches before the end of the season as the team was being controlled by the assistant .. A Mcwas just fulfilling his contract pay off. Regradless what the papers say I am told that Villa tapped up Lambert during the end of the season and then built a smoke screen. Norwich aren't doomed at all they have good players and I expect them to fly with a new manager ... if they get the right one of course.

Norwich have done well this year with a team without stars which works hard as a unit. They need someone of the same ilk to keep this going. I have no idea who this may be, and I really couldn't care less.
