Knocked the ball out of the park - I think the board are stuck between a rock and a hard place, ideally they would try to stick with AVB, but the way things are going we will miss out on 4th place. Reluctantly they will give AVB his cards and then deal with the mutiny at a time of their choosing; what was it that Napoleon said about one of his Generals: "I know he's good, but is he lucky?" sadly it appears that AVB doesn't that in abundance.
Problem is, it's getting worse by the game. The football is shocking and players don't seem to know what they're supposed to be doing and his substitutions are baffling at best. When he came out & stated he'd picked the correct team against Napoli, is when I had serious doubts about his nous? Very hard to respect someone who comes out with such bile!
I don't believe in karma, but if any team deserves to be punished for their arrogance, it has to be Chelsea. I still can't believe the circumstances in which Ancelotti was sacked. "Oh you win the league and FA Cup in your first season, get second place in your second? UNACCEPTABLE!" You never looked like a team that needed a "revolution". Sure your first team consisted of a lot of aging players, but they were world class aging players. The absolute worst that could be done was piss on the motivation of those players while not buying any decent cover.
Hope you are pleased with yourself that a young manager has lost his job. You must feel very smug, happy and pleased with yourself
Actually if you read my other posts, I blame the players for him getting sacked. I've said many times that he doesn't deserved to get sacked. Nothing to be smug or happy about... but I feel no sympathy for a man getting £15million in severance. I doubt he'll be lining up outside the job centre any time soon.
How do you know he is getting a 15m severance? Anyway, enjoy your 'prize' ... gloating on our board. Ars23nal never win any so this is the closest to a 'prize' you'll get
For mine yes, you have consistently got it right. AVB has been shafted by our players and management . And like you I am sorry to see a talented, enthusiastic manager so betrayed by those he trusted. Hope he enjoys the money, he has definitely earned it. Also hope and expect him to rise to the top of his profession and stick it right up our brain dead owner.
