You all say he's not ready for the prem, yet prem teams want him...... Odd. personally I think he can play at the top, so that's why I'd rather have him in our side
Was speaking to a work colleague that works the other side of the bridge who is apparently in the know at Swansea. He has been told that Swansea had made an initial bid believed to be about £2m which was rejected by City. Apparently City are sticking to their price of £3m. I think it is more the case of waiting to see Sinclair leave Swansea as rumours are that he will be signing for Liverpool by the end of the week for £10m which then gives them money to find a replacement. So wouldnt expect to see Albert go until at least next week
I agree with you Shiny he is a good player, but do you take a gamble on losing value. Because if he stays another season I think he only has a year left then and we could have another Maynard situation. He is unlikely to sign another extension with us now Prem clubs have shown a interest.
He doesn't make the right decisiosn often enough, runs down a dead end and loses the ball rather than passing and keeping possession. In the prem teams will punish you for that. Also erratic crossing too I think.
I would let Albert go for anything approaching £3m providing Del gets the funds to invest. He's certainly not a Premiership player by a long chalk but that wont be our problem once we've got the money. Like all wingers he blows hot and cold but but its still good business for us.
Agree 100% last quarter he was poor. Bolasie looked the better player by a long shot. 3 million cash,we can strengthen the front, middle, and back with that. Let the bidding begin i say.
I think Albert has more raw ability but it shows that his only football prior to us is non league and league 2, he hasn't been coached to make the right decisions. Bolasie has already played championship and league 1 football before joining us so knows when it's better just to keep the ball and go backwards.
On the rumour site now says Southampton are looking at him, if all these clubs that are rumoured are really after him could have a bidding war
There is no way in a million years that Adomah is worth £2m, let alone £3m! He seems a decent enough player at Championship level, but £3m really?
Allegedly 3M is what fulham offered at xmas (I think). What he is actually worth and what people will pay are 2 different things. PS on his day he is unplayable in the championship - hardly just a 'decent' player...
Very true! When will we ever learn! He has pace and skill - so with a quality right-back behind him, a strong coach, and some great strikers to put the ball into, he'll be really effective for a prem team. £3 million would be good price for both parties.
'Bolasie knows when it's better just to keep the ball and go backwards' Bolasie doesn't know anything, seriously lacks a football brain.
Bluebaldee - Any player is worth what the market is prepared to pay for him, reagardless of what you, me or any other fan thinks about their abilities.
