He will not be sacked yet, I am telling you we will have to be rock bottom for him to be sacked before Jan. The board let Gyan go and did not give him money to get a striker before the end of the window so they are not going to get rid unless were in dire straights which were not Were going to have to accept were going to be 12/13 by Jan then it depends if we can get quality in. Our season will be made or broken from the end of Jan to May. IMO that is when the board will make a decision on Bruce.
LostInVegas. I love football - no - I love SAFC, so I know a little. Professional footballers know more. They know what is going on, what is happening. So. Yet again we are 12th, 13th (if lucky) in January (more I think, REALLY lucky) What player or manager would come in - unless they were desperate? x
If he sacks bruce The next move by Short will show what ambition he has for the club. A big manager will want money (is Short prepared to give that out) A big manager will cost money unless he is out of work and will want to rebuild. More importantly who would want the job. managers know what goes on at football clubs and to be honest who would really like the job. i think a lot of our fans have set their sights too high this season. And don't give me hughes he is know better than Bruce MoN will not come unless Short can meet his demands Moyes won't come unless he is promised a kitty So as i say the next move by Short will show his ambition for the club
It's where we are at. I want Bruce to sort it (so much for calling me a BoB). But he cannot do it (therefore I AM BoB) If I'm confused, how can we progress? x
I agree Mitch. My honest feeling is and always has been, that Bruce isn't the way forward fro SAFC. Bruce's supporters will always return to the problems getting rid now could cause. For me, him going couldn't make us any worse, as he clearly has no idea about tactics or setting teams up to win. Therefore all we need to do is put 11 fit players on the pitch let them play where they want like a kids match and we would still get better results than under Bruce.
The intriguing thing for me right now is the Sack Race odds from the bookies. The two with shortest odds are predictable - Kean and Bruce. But the next two, I'd never have expected - Wenger and Moyes! Now, in the unlikely event of Wenger leaving Arsenal, I'm still not sure he'd come here. But I think an unemployed Moyes would jump at the Sunderland job. Moyes, like any other manager, would want to know what kitty he has to work with - but the good thing with him is he's not used to having much., and he's proven over a number of years, that he can succeed to a level higher than we are without a massive kitty. Anything reasonable, and I think he'd come here.
