Based on recent games I would like to see Buz.

To say that Derry has been disappointing lately would be an understatement

Buz, Derry is a NPC player.

Buz is also a lot better in the air than people give him credit for and can also put in crunching tackles. He is also less likely to be booked and thus rendered useless.

So are we saying Buz as the holding and Barton as attacking or visa versa?

Neither, we play 442 and both midfielders do the same job. Buz has filled in the holding role when we played up front and did pretty well for an attacking player playing there.

Dont forget the 1st good FK weve seen in the last year as well. 35 yards out and still made the keeper make a cracking save.

Yes, definitely Buz with Derry in reserve - hopefully Barton will not always insist on doing the honours from the set pieces.

Buz and Derry. Barton should never be given our shirt again.

Buzz for sure. He is slowly but surely getting better with each game. Sean I'm afraid is not. Derry can come on for the last 20 minutes or so to add some bite in the midfield if we are winning. He will be fresh and able to put in a shift. Who he replaces will depend on who is playing badly in our attacking moves and of course, whether JB is still on the pitch by that stage. Here's hoping that he focuses correctly. The opposition are bound to try and wind him up. it's not that difficult.

Still not convinced Buz is PL quality and could be a liability, but Derry is hopelessly out of his depth and the alternative would be Barton holding with Buz further forward. Buz can play the pass-master but we haven't seen his best for a long time...

Don't think either are prem class, but Derry looks tired - and Buz has done all right recently.

For the rise in half decent set pieces alone he deserves his chance.
