We cant get rid of everyone straight away so a 1 year extension is a fair deal. Ill be surprised if he take it though. He may think a 3 year deal in the Championship where he will play more will be a better offer.
Would definitely offer Clint Hill an extension based on performances but don't think Buzz has done enough to justify one.
To be honest, Buzz does have a "sell on value". If we let him go, and decide to get rid of barton then we could end up paying some form of compensation. Buzz could then be sold to help balance the books. A years deal seem a good idea for me, (1) it gives both parties a chance to work with each other in pre season,(2) Hughes has seen something he think he can fine tune, and (3) mabe a different coaching approach will bring out a bit more in this player. I cannot see MH being iven milions and millions to spend so it will be good to hae some decent players in reserve....even if that is where they stay.
