Buying Electrical Items.............

Windows 8 is great, got no issues with it, it's exactly like 7 but sexier and tidier. Would be much better with a touchscreen, but it's still great. Anyone that has any issues with 8 hasn't tried it/is a *****/is a ****/etc...

I've got issues with the fact that a lot of programs I use are worried about compatibility issues with windows 8.

Besides as with all new windows versions for the first year or 2 they are ****ing useless and full of bugs.

nice, aye a want at least 2gb card, not having 80 quid rip off windows 8 included would be a nice bonus, can probably find a download for free anyway if i want to try it

My PC would run FM13 with ease and I've got no where near the spec of the ones I linked you to.

Also most modern PC's have 8 slots for memory and can therefore run 32GB of RAM.

I've been using it at work for the last month and a bit, and I honestly haven't had any compatibility issues? What software you worried about?

It boots up in about 5 secs, is a lot sexier and some of the shortcuts, etc are pretty cool.

**** that touchscreen pish toby

I dont need a mad 2k pc, only want it to run fm13 like a boss, and 16gb ram is plenty, I think its upgradable to 32 aswell.

Erm, 16gb of RAM is waaaaaaaaaaay more than you need, especially as all it'll be for is to play FM, come chat pish on here and watch underage bestiality porn.

Those ones MD found were perfect as well (except the first one, the guy selling it is ginger), take your pick <ok>

And if you ever wanted to be a boss, go for this badboy (you might have to get a decent graphics card)

Mostly Steam but I'm worried it won't handle older versions of photoshop as well as a few smaller programs I run in the background.

I might update to windows 8 at some point but it won't be happening soon until I know I can switch over without having issues with drivers and such.

Ginger6 is actually a reputable store for PC components <laugh>

I have concerns that fifa 96 wont be compatible with windows 8.

That one looks severely overpriced toby, not the best spec and no graphics

if i was going to spend that much i would do one of those custom ones and it would be ten times better than that link.

I still don't think you'd need to spend that much money on a PC that can run FM13.

You certainly don't need an i7 Processor and 16GB of RAM. That's just overkill.

It only costs that much because of the beast of a processor in it, 6 cores <yikes>

RAM doesn't make that much of a difference, as long as you've got about 4gb on a desktop you should be fine. A 2Tb hard drive is unnecessary as well...

Still think the one you found is a decent buy, and at least if you get it from PC world, if it ****s up you can take it back and go mental.

I'd still have a bit more of a look around...

Also, you know you can upgrade to Windows 8 for bout £20, and you should be able to update your cracked version of 7 too without having to format.

Making a custom one would be a much better idea if you want a beast of a puter?

No worries, I was dubious at first too but after trying it realised that it's fine. I actually prefer it now. They haven't made their service pack yet so you're right about the potential bugs though...

That is the worst name for a retail company ever. Why put ginger in your title at all?

aye but a wis hinkin a mayswell go for it because in 5 years it will be low end again and fm 18 will be running slow as ****!! you know the way it is with pcs

programmers and their fatty coding in **** languages, they should learn assembly these ****s

Fair enough. In that case them PC's I posted will still be decent PC's in 5 years time - even if people tell you otherwise.

Buying PC's as whole products is also a waste of money. If you can assemble a PC all by your lonesome you're better off buying the parts separately, most of the time anyway.

What toby said about the HDD space is user preference I guess. I've got something between 2.5-3TB internal and about 1TB external hard disk space and It's mostly all full of music, movies and all that sort of ****.

All this talk of puters has made me want to pimp mine more. Time for a sexy new processor <whistle>

MD I've got 1Tb internal and 200Gb external, with enough stuff to watch/music to fill up most of it. You don't really need any more than that...

My boss has a liquid cooling kit on his, was very jealous :(

I'm an e-hoarder - I've not deleted anything from any of my hard disks since 2006 (apart from uninstalled programs)

Stay well clear of water cooling toby, mines leaked all over my motherboard and CPU in November and left me forking out for repairs.
