Hmm, trying to sound enthusiastic is hard at the moment. I was perked up by recent departures and signings however the abysmal game on Saturday has left a source taste in the mouth.

I assume that we will see either Wellens or Wallace start the game, with only one of Cole or Clark alongside them. Is Black available, I've lost count of the yellows he's gained. If he is available then perhaps having Wellens alongside him will stop him doing such rash actions as hacking people's legs and throwing the ball at a player or the ref... Perhaps MM will start with Wellens and Wallace! Mangan deserves a place up front but will it be JLAA, Vernon or Vassell. Or maybe we'll have a 451 formation as that worked for Barnsley.

I'm guessing we won't be seeing Gerrard playing for us again, MM has stated we are negotiating with Whitbread, but the rumoured wages demand and crap performance of Gerrard will see him go elsewhere.

It would be great to get a win this weekend and hopefully we can string together a few and rescue this season.

    Floreat Salopia.

I don't think anyone could predict what the starting line-up/formation will be and that is a major part of the problem. I see Whitbread has signed and Gerrard has gone which is probably about right, Perhaps some of the money earmarked for the latter could go on a desperately needed striker. Difficult to see us getting anything other than a hiding at Burton whose continuity, professionalism and consistency are the exact opposite to us at the moment.
Come on MM pick Demetriou, push Brown further up the pitch, play Wellens as holding midfielder with Black in front of him and play Wallace to give us some legs. I would pick Clark over Cole as the latter is a luxury we cannot afford at the moment. Perhaps JLAA with Mangan as he really owes us something after being awol for much of the season. Even a narrow defeat will seem like a victory at the moment and the real test will be the Oldham game - a repeat of the Barnsley performance will surely spell the end of MM's reign - no amount of heroics in the Cup will count against the importance of the bread and butter games in the league.

Where did that result come from? We desperately need now to follow it up on Tuesday - there is still hope despite the fact that half the season has already been squandered. Sounds like Wellens and Wallace made a real difference in midfield.

A surprising result but that's footy for you. Big confidence builder for both squad and the fans.

I'm looking forward to seeing the game on Tuesday now.

Sounded absolutely awful tonight - glad that work commitments mean I cannot go to midweek games at the moment. It seems like we take one step forward and two steps back.Who knows what team will turn up on Saturday. Someone on B and A says we have two home league goals in two months. I must say the home performances this year are worse than when we were last relegated from League 1. Can anyone provide a glimmer of hope?

Completely flat tonight. Apart from Grimmer, the newcomers add absolutely nothing to the team. Really disappointed with Wellens after what was written about him on Saturday. I had already abandoned hope after the Fleetwood game and, no matter what comes out of the blue against better teams, we are doomed.

I think flat is a good description KDS - it amazes me how slow and unfit some of our players are compared to those in the teams around us. There may be an excuse for some loanees who need time to get up to speed but not for the rest who have been with us all season.

Grimmer and Whalley seemed to be the highlight of the game, there was some quick and reactive passing between them.

If we're going to play 442 then let's play with with at least one winger rather than four centre mids.
