I really hope not. I actually don't believe that. I suppose it is treating the competition with little respect but it is definitely bizarre especially after the Man U result yesterday. I'm busy tonight anyway so can't get too involved.
Yep.......should mean he's not playing on Saturday. Although Faurlin's inclusion suggests he won't be playing on Saturday either!
Faurlin is the only player I didn't want to start. Lower league cloggers on a poor pitch, in a likely physical game... He hasn't been back from injury long enough to be risked in these- he's our best midfielder atm!
That team and bench should be more than capable of getting the job done - I would have preferred to see Zamora starting since we have no designated front man ball winner and are a bit light weight up front. Henry is a good choice for this type of rough & tumble match. Dunne & Hill are good at mixing it up too at this level. Perhaps Harry is saving an OBZ moment for the 2nd half, although realistically we should already be a couple of goals up by then. I sincerely hope Adel dazzles and mesmerizes Burton with nutmegs, scoring a few brilliant goals in the process!
Completely agree. Seems a big risk. Weird line up but nice to be listening on the radio. Feels all 1990's!
Sorry Gloucester, that's BS. Has last night been a blessing in disguise for Man Utd? How many trophies have you seen us win? Did last Sunday's performance give you the impression that this is a well oiled purring machine deserving of a break? This purely smacks of no lose, if we go out he played the second team to protect the first team. Win and it's a bonus. Same as everything our good ol egg Arry does, short termism and all about him. Come on you Rrrrrrrs, love you Hate that Good ol egg Arry and pocket pshychiatrist Barton are taking our money and using our name.
Not having the greatest morning so this thread has instantly raised my spirits with the witty posts however, having looked at that line up I feel the only cheer will come from more witty posts as that team doesn’t inspire confidence but here is hoping that they prove me wrong. At least if we draw 1-1 tonight we’ll be matching Man Utd’s results (albeit in different competitions), although sadly this season that isn’t something to take comfort in as it would have in seasons past.
It's still a route into Europe and that's pulling power for a better quality of player. (Think hull this season. Would Dawson, Ince, have gone there if they weren't in Europe. Maybe, maybe not but I think it's a point worth making.)
