Ellis Harrison ran his socks off up front, in place of John Marquis. Michael Jacobs played on the left wing, with Marcus Harness playing behind Harrison. It appeared to work extremely well.
So Kenny can adapt. I feel Pompey will have a much better away récord this season, and perhaps not so good at home. So long as we can make the play-offs again, I will be happy.
.I saw the game replay on ifollow last night. I thought it strange initially to play Jacobs on the wing. in my opinion we have three good wingers so to play a non-winger in that position was strange. The result proved me wrong. Tuesday night may be an opportunity to give other squad members some football but - barring injuries - I would expect the same team to play next Saturday given the result against Burton. However, in the longer term, whilst Harness may be proving he can play No 10 or on the wing I do not think we can make the most of Jacobs talents consistently playing him on the wing and he must move inside. Great result! PUP
