Absolutely Rick and so many of us expected to be challenging for the top 2 and IMO if this ALL happens next season, then who knows - Matthews to come back as first choice keeper Pinto, Raggett and Lewis, Toffolo/Adams and/or AN Other as FBs Hanley, Zimmerman and 2 Others as CBs Godfrey, Pritchard, Cantwell, Josh, Stieperman, Fonkeu, Trybull (I hope) and perhaps one other from the under 23s as midfield Not sure if Basil will want to stay, but Shrews boss is pushing Morris to up his game, Abrahams and use some of the money from JM to buy another striker.
Just don't get all the changes! Play your best team and you improve your chances of wining. Don't buy into all this too many games business. They are professional players and should be fit enough to cope. You could have rested some for the cup game next week if necessary ( and don't get me started on that!). I'm not a Farke fan. That went watching Brentford. Really disappointing season.
Youth players will be a major element next season but it won't be all change. It's hard to say who will stay and who will go, but some of that will be indicated over the next month. It's hard to predict how that will go. GK: Gunn (2nd loan), Matthews & another RB: Pinto, Godfrey & U23 player LB: Lewis, Husband & U23 player RCB: Hanley, Zimmerman & U23 player LCB: Klose?, new player & U23 player CM: Trybull, Vrancic, Steipermann DM: Tettey?, Godfrey, Thompson WR: Watkins, Naismith?, & U23 player WL: Murphy, Wildschut, & U23 player AM: Maddison?, Pritchard?, Cantwell S: Oliveira?, Jerome?, Morris, Fonkeu, Abrahams
Because there is so little positive to go on. I praise like hell when we do well. It hasn’t happened much at all. So what are fans suppose to say? This is great we play football everyone wants to watch? It doesn’t get results, fantastic! That will keep our club alive!
You misunderstand me. Of course I'm unhappy if we lose or don't play very well, what I'm saying is NCFC are MYlove, MY team to follow. Owners, management and players are an aside, they may and probably will move on to another team, but I, and all other fans, will be loyal to Norwich City through what little thick and all the massive thin. That will never change!
Just sounds like one long fart. From someone who farts a lot. And you know it's going to instantly stink. Even listening to this blokes voice saying the same old sh*t is getting on my tits now.
Yea. Unfortunately I love the club too. I don't love the board, the Manager (or whatever he calls himself), and most weeks - the team of players. The players who are picked most weeks are sh*t. They aren't good enough for this league, they aren't doing anything to earn selection. Offer nothing to cheer. The team against Birmingham was something I could get behind and like. Bloody Vrancic, Watkins, Husband, Stiepermann etc. Got no love or affection for them. They are like Naismith and Jarvis. Just leaching off this club, and offering nothing positive. I love the club, but at the moment it's just a name. No soul to this club anymore.
Some changes make sense to me. Pritchard has just returned from a lengthy injury and the last thing we want is for another now, but he should be fine for Millwall. Maddison has played a lot so far for a 20 year old, so 3 matches in 9 days is a big ask, IMO. Having him fresh for Millwall could prove critical and Wes was a good alternative, though I'm not sure about Vrancic as an AM. Tettey has knee problems and recently came back from injury, so 2 matches in 3 days carries a risk. As it was, he had to come on for Reed and play the last 60 minutes, so may be questionable for Millwall. Murphy I don't understand really, unless there's a problem we don't know about. I sense that DF wants him and Lewis to forge a partnership on the left, so that might explain Watkins/Husband instead for Burton. Hanley, however, I think was tactical given the way Burton play and IMO he had his best game yet for us. WhoScored made him MotM with a score of 8.6, well ahead of Trybull on 7.4. That's how I see the changes anyway. Here's how DF saw it: “From a technical point of view we felt Burton was the game to take a risk. The pitch is really awful, it is not good for technical passing for guys like James Maddison or Pritchard or Josh Murphy. Burton is a tough place. They are annoying with their style. They play the long balls and you have to struggle for the second balls so we wanted to be a bit more robust, a bit more physical. Then we could rest key players for Millwall while calming this one down in the first half and win the second half. It was nearly like we planned. I wanted to bring in Josh but Alex Tettey had to come on because of the injury to Harrison Reed and I wanted to rest him for the whole 90 minutes."
