Fukin ryt mate get yasen over to Sunderland board instead. Main topics of convo are cross-dressing and ethnic minorities, you can even throw in the occasional offering to a fight that is never guna happen
I'd like us to line up similar to Forest, bring in Hayden for Colback and go 4-1-4-1 with Shelvey in the 'DM' position, but acting more as a deep playmaker. Atsu in on the left for Gouffran to push the two wingers up a bit. Back four stays the same. I think if we played like that, with Diame and Hayden we could boss it a bit easier and run out victors in a slightly-not-as-dull affair. We really shouldn't be fearing Burton....
They're in good form. They just won away at Huddersfield and have been steadily climbing away from the relegations zone. A very dangerous side... ok fair enough you got me, I can't defend our defensive approach to every single match even if I try.
I can honestly see a draw or defeat in this one. We are more than capable. I'm sure if it happens we will be told they raised their game and it was because there was another team on the pitch. I'm not sure about this excuse. Most of the time when you play football there is another team on the pitch and they try to play well
I genuinely think Rafa breaks it all down to percentages and statistics. Is there any other way of explaining the cast-iron mantra of 'no sub before 60th minute'? We only ever seem to play quite well when it goes out the window and the other team either turns up to play - Norwich at home - or doesn't turn up at all - QPR away. When the other team has a gameplan and plays well, we seem really stuck and it then falls almost entirely to individual performances to get you points. Whether that's been Gayle, Ritchie or Shelvey, when your gameplan is "defend, and score the chance you get" it's a bit dull and can lead to the labours we've seen this season. Ultimately if we get promoted, that's down to Rafa and will be job done. Pointing to both Villa and Norwich to say "look, it's far from easy, pal". Just not sure we had to stick so rigidly to this "system" with players who are not quite fit for purpose. Personally I think we'd have absolutely destroyed the division with a simple 4-4-2 approach.
Burton have just won the game of their season. Their players think they're now well clear of the relegation zone and can beat anybody. Their season's work is complete! That might help us a bit.
