As reported in the HDM
He is known for his motor-mouth and his sporting opinions.
But after a shake-up at BBC Radio Humberside, sports editor David Burns will now be tackling the morning show, replacing Lara King.
From Monday, Burnsy, as he is affectionately known to listeners, will bring his own kind of magic to the airwaves.
Known for his radio personality, he will swap sporting banter for topical chatter with listeners on both sides of the Humber.
For 15 years, fans have heard him follow the fortunes of the Tigers as he commentates on matches home and away.
More recently, he has also been the voice of the hugely popular Sportstalk show, aired just after 6pm.
He will continue to cover the Tigers, but fans of Sportstalk heard him on the show for the final time last night.
A spokesman for the BBC told the Mail the reason for the shake-up was down to the decision to refresh the mid-morning schedule.
Simon Pattern, managing editor of BBC Radio Humberside, said: "Lara King has done an excellent job for us for the past few years and will continue to play an important role across the station's output.
"We are delighted that David will bring his extensive broadcasting experience
Thanks for nothing you fat twat & good riddance !!
