We were as attacking as we've ever been last weekend vs Spurs. More shots, chances, than in any match this season (I think?). With Ritchie/Murphy it's not really 5 at the back, it's 3-5-2. Shelvey may surprise us, but I think Willock's energy would have been better. As long as it isn't that ****ing awful 4-1-3-2 split striker bullshit, we'll at least stay in the game. I'm marginally interested to see how Joe/Gayle carry on as well, and would be really keen to see Gayle - Wilson swap at the obligatory 60 min sub mark, though I think that's already pencilled in for Willock....not that Brucey's predictable.
Exactly I was just walking into the living room with a coffee saying to myself how sick of Steve's ****ing pre determined game plans...he's thinking keep it tight stay in the game then have a go late on... Just play your best ****ing side from the start.
Tottenham we're expecting the diamond and they aren't built for the direct stuff, but sadly Burnley are built for it. This is another train crash coming
It's another example of how crap Steve bruce is. What happened last week vs Tottenham is meaningless because Burnley are a completely different side. You have to counter Burnley with pace and run at the back 4... We've got only 1 mobile player in in almiron.
Well I’m disappointed with ASM not starting but I can understand the logic. Only hope is drawing with say 70 mins to go and then Chuck then on. If he doesn’t play Wilson and ASM today he’s saving them for games we won’t win. This is the big one. Let’s hope he’s got it right?
