We are walking a large chunk of Offa's Dyke this week.. 40th anniversary tomorrow... Off to Lancashire Friday.. Staying with old friends for the weekend, Pre and post match in the Crooked Billet, in the village of Worsthorne, about 4 miles from Turf Moor. £5 buys you pie and peas, and a return ticket on a coach to and from the match. Whatever the result, I never predict, we will catch the last part of the rugby back in the pub, all on the same side... COYRs
Really can't see more than one goal in this game. In fact I think there would be more chance of KFC running out of chicken. Oh......
What's the point of this thread. Stupidest thread ever. Why bother with this when we're not even going to win the game..... Oh!
I fancy us to win this. Burnley's form has been on the slide and they're comfortable. We need points. Lots of points. 2-3 Saints.
We need points but a draw wouldn't be the worst result in the world providing we beat Stoke. Much like the WBA and Brighton games we need four from these two minimum.
Two other games take my immediate interest this weekend at 3pm. Brighton v Swansea West Brom v Hudders If Hudders manage to win then I think we can say bye to WBA. Hopefully Leicester and Bournemouth can do us favours too against Stoke and Newcastle respectively.
I remember when we still had players people wanted to plunder. At least we won't have to worry about this summer - provided we stay up.
Problem is, if we keep taking a point, we'll probably need something on the last day. We need to go for it in these games.
Not necessarily. We obviously have to take wins where we can, but beating the likes of Stoke, Swansea and Newcastle is more possible and more important than beating Burnley. Having said that, I quite fancy us to sneak a “bonus” win in this one which would really take the pressure off.
Newcastle beat ManU last time out, so even if we take three from them, don't write them off. They are grinding......better than us.
As the season comes to an end we might end up finding it easier to pick up points against the mid table/nothing to play for/head on their holidays teams than the other relegation scrappers. Burnley seem to be in that category at the moment, so hopefully we can get an unexpected win.
Burnley are bottom of the form table with three losses and two draws in their last five. We've picked up 6 points from three draws and a win over the same period. Swansea are second in the form table behind Spurs and ahead of City.
