Fecking woeful performance and we did not deserve to win. Grayson is a lucky man as I think the door would have been shown had we lost. I'll give Snoddy plus marks for his goals, but he is too predictable just now, he constantly brings everything on to his left and this makes defending against him rather easier. O'Dea and Kisnorbo are very very poor, we can't go on with those two or we have no chance. Clayton doesn't look anything like the player he was at the start of the season, perhaps he needs to be dropped to be made aware he isn't guaranteed a game unless the work rate and performance is of the level required. Howson was better than I've seen him of late and Keogh & McCormack were poor. Aidy White impresseses me with each game, Connolly is not that great, but better than anything else we have in the right back position. Woeful, poor, inept and yet we still won.
Yes Simon you're right,we deserve to be where we are(stuck in this tinpot division)instead of where Leeds United should be(top six in PL) because of performances like today where 9 times out of 10 we'd have lost. The defence is still not sorted, the team is devoid of any inspiration & that stems from the manager. I'm fed up with this meek acceptance of mediocrity.
Did I miss some massive horrible event over the international break? We're complaining about being 4th FFS.
It's not an achievement for Leeds United to be 4th in this sub-standard division. To be celebrating that fact stinks of small-club mentality. It's like me saying I once drove a ferrari but now drive a ford focus. There's nothing to celebrate in that.
But while we're in this division we should be happy we're 4th, we don't have some divine right to be out of it.
Wake up call for Grayson, Keough and McCormack is no longer working, also have a feeling if Pugh was playing today we would have lost, is Pugh really worth £500k when we have Sam?
to be honest, the whole team were 2nd best to 50/50. 1st was painful to watch, having said that , their keeper should have gone. & Bartley should have gone for 2 footed tackles in both halves. Becchio is looking a shadow of himself.
Agree their keeper should have went but we should be able to outperform the likes of Burnley without keepers needing to be sent off. Conolly was also lucky not to have seen a straight red, his was just as bad as Bartley but forget who should and should not be on the pitch 11 v 11 we were lucky. Not sure what to make of Becchio, he reminds me of McCormack last season, out too long injured and just not on the pace of a game. Clayton hasn't been as outstanding as he was, I still feel Howson is overated and NOT captain material. At 1-1 it was Snodgrass waving his arms and installing some team spirit, the captain should have been doing that. Excellent one handed low down save by the young lad to keep us in it, feel their keeper could have prevented both of ours but we certainly haven't had any luck this season where keepers are concerned.
You can't compare Sam and Pugh, they're completely different kinds of players. You could also argue if Pugh was playing their right back would have been closed down for their goal.
Good point, we are a player or two short, now we have got rid of AOB and Paynter we will invest in one or 2 BIG NAMES
Why the hell didn't the Leeds players kick off when the burnley keeper handled outside the box ??????????????
Possibly because McCormack was too close and none of the others could see that he was out of the box. Only thing I can think if.
If pugh was playing i doubt they would have scored thewre goal, sam was no where to be seen and left aidy white 2 on 1 making for an easy cross
I think they both bring something different to the team, and if we changed back to 4-2-3-1 (which I think may be useful as McCormack and Keogh are looking stale) I'd even go for Pugh & Sam.
We should have won today if we had that Blatently spot-kick given at 1-0 to us it we would have gone on to win you well did NOT deserve to win today We were ROBBED!
