I was just about to head to Morrisons and then it started chucking it down, so decided to wait it and just checked the stream and it's back! Thank you universe for guiding me

Final whistle. 2-1 to Burnley after 90 + 10 minutes play. Very unlucky Pompey, we deserved a draw here. The performance augurs well for the season.

Kinda the opposite of last season where we'd score in stoppage time, this year we concede in stoppage time. But yes, not a bad performance.

Eventually we'll have to stop playing the relegated teams from last year or the play off teams from last year.

Just looked at the table. Our three loses have come to the teams 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the table. Shows what a ridiculous start the fixture computer gave us

Back in Qz now and watched this game on Pompey+ which I was quite impressed with. I have paid 180 english pounds for a season long subscription which seems very reasonable. I hope the club make more for this than they did from ifollow..
A better performance in many ways. However, if possession of the ball is the best form of defense it is difficult to win with only 30% possession. i thought we lost too many 50-50's and second balls.
Our back four were very good.
We were perhaps a little weak in the mid field. Pack is understandably finding it harder to be commanding in this league. Potts was on debut at this level and should be persevered with to see if he can adjust to the pace.
Lang and Lane both worked hard and combined brilliantly for the goal. However, both lost possession a little too often in my opinion. Blair and Mahony are the alternatives in these positions but it is unclear whether they could contribute the same work rate. Blair clearly has great pace and I feel should be tried in the starting eleven - possibly at the expense of Lane. If he fulfils his promise we would have two pacey wingers when paired with Murphy.
Saydee remains our best centre forward option and is the only current forward that offers any hold-up play..
Overall though our performances seem to be heading in the right direction. Results todate should not be allowed to engender too much negativity.
