Massengo tries his clever stuff and gives the ball away and they almost scored. Move him on please.

Well we have played two relegated sides now.
Norwich I thought we deserved something from the game -played very well and deserved a draw at the very least.
Burnley we have been completely outplayed and look second best all over the pitch.
    Deserved nothing from the game.

Np got his tactics wrong again..
Taking Conway off and then trying to sit back at 1-1..
everyone knows at the club our defence aren’t good enough to play that game apart from Nige..
    Reality check..
I hope I haven’t got to read about having hands tied and low budgets..
Coach from a defending background <doh> you wouldn’t think so!

I didn’t see the game - did we REALLY try and sit on 1-1???
If so then someone needs a good fking bollocking.
We always get undone with that tactic.

well we had 25 mins of possession v 65 mins not got the ball = 2 things...
    1] less chance of scoring
2] more chance opposition has of scoring and stopping us scoring ...

    Why was CONWAY OFF?

Think Burnley will go back up this season and need to recognise the quality Burnley have at their disposal.

'everyone knows at the club our defence aren't good enough to play that game apart from Nige'. <laugh>

I have a hard time accepting that Massengo who clearly doesn't want to sign a new contract (thank goodness) is given any playing time. We have bigger fish to fry and wasting our time on this guy will not solve any of our problems. I really can see a change in certain parts of our game but also question some of the tactics used when we are still in with a chance of getting some points. There are still appalling defensive lapses which in a game where we have chosen to sit back and defend generally leads to what we saw today. Zero points from what we all knew would be difficult games, but when you consider that we truly had a chance to win them both if it weren't for costly mistakes and bad decisions. Dust ourselves off and come again is what we need to do but disappointment must be the order of the day for us all and especially for our brave travelling fans.

I'd like to come to Nige's defence but he doesn't have one but I'm sure he has got something up his sleeve going forward.:emoticon-0105-wink:

It’s a worry for sure. I think it’s now 8 or 9 defenders signed/re-signed since he joined and we are worse defensively now than for anytime since we last got relegated. Even more baffling is NP and CF were centre halves

Terrible defending from Atkinson & Naismith for the first goal. Neither of them closed him down and gave him the channel and an open invitation to shoot. We have to press at both ends of the pitch. I think Naismith was partly at fault for their second as well, he let Rodriguez drift away from him instead of staying tight. Had that been Vyner, he would be getting slaughtered on here.

Watched it a few times my take it was opportunist and space was generated by Burnley and our defence had it all wrong, with to much space... maybe "man marking" Tella Brownhill and Rodriguez the obvious dangers allotted to back 3 ???? SO Manuel had space! ... just an observation ..... maybe defensive coaching a problem?

RP, don’t be a hypocrite, if that had been Vyner, you would have been hammering him on here, as you always do.
