When Hull started in 1865, they used to meet the opposition and discuss what rules they wold play that day and how many a side there would be. Think they actually plated 'Soccer on some occasions- no hands allowed, 11 a side etc. Depends on who they played against and what rules they were used to playing. Think the original 1865 public schoolboy founders would have been gobsmacked at some of the people who attended the Bullyvard (where Rovers used to play before them!)
Where did I say that? You seem to be hallucinating. Unless you think councils were the people who formed football clubs.
Those of you who are interested in the football in the 1860's may find the "Hull Rules" project interesting. The Hull Rules group has been formed by members of this forum and is actively pursuing it's aim of bringing the Original Minute Book of The Football Association to Hull in 2017. 1863 was an important year in Hull and it is a year that is the focus for our little project.
