Have we had a 0-0 this season? I fancy us to score at least 1, and they don't score more than 1 very often. Rigg has a knack of scoring in big games/moments so I fancy him tomorrow
Enzo hasn't signed from Roma on a salary of around £60k per week to sit on the bench, I think he starts and has a blinder !
Just because we have 4 brilliant centre field players it doesn’t mean we have to play them all at the same time. That’s where the subs come into play. No diamond formation just to get them all on the pitch. We complain he doesn’t use subs, well, now he has top quality to choose from.
I used to be horrendous for big games and the nerves took over. Not so much these days. I’m just looking forward to seeing the lads tomorrow and I know it’ll be a cracking away end - Friday night and a huge fixture.
I think Regis has been dropping some heavy hints that he'll start, as you say his usual reasons for hesitancy don't apply in Le Fee's case. When you get top quality players in who are in great shape physically you don't need to give them a month on the sidelines to learn the ropes.
**** it, we’re gonna rip them a new one, and then another 1:4 to the lads. Scratch that - 0:4 to the lads for a raucous night. Enjoy those of you travelling
At the end of the day all I want to see is our players fighting for every ball and putting them under some serious pressure. This is a big game for now but there is a lot more football to be played yet. This game will not define our season but at this juncture it is an important game and a positive result would be excellent moving forward.
Voted with my heart instead of my head, Really looking forward to this one although I wish I wasn’t on a go canny on the booze initiate this month cos I could really fancy a few drinks while watching this !
Really hope we can get over the line, I've no doubt we have the talent to really **** them up but it's easier said than done. Hopefully we don't end up crashing back to earth after a wonderful few days of excitement. Great thing is, this team usual subverts expectation, that expectation of same old sunderland.
There’s definitely twist and turns to come this season. A defeat certainly isn’t terminal. Think it’s spring before we reach must-win territory.
To be honest I'm really hoping he teaches us a few new ropes. If you know a player is talented and clever you know you can start a run that he’ll spot that bit quicker, etc. He’ll instinctively cover other midfield players and spot what his opponents are trying to do. I've played Sunday League and know how much my own game improved when a good new player turned up. Le Fée is more experienced than the rest of our midfield and has played in big games … … playing at Turf Moor, in front of 20,000, won’t phase him one bit.
