Were there any Burnley fans there tonight? It would have been like a morgue if our fans weren't there.

How would you know? When did we last ‘enjoy’ mid table nothingness, was it under Bruce? Genuine question.

Even last season quickly transformed from hoping for the playoffs into nervously looking over our shoulders.

    We’ve still got

    Burnley VS Leeds
    Sheffield United VS Leeds
    Burnley VS Sheffield United

and all we’ve got is to play Leeds away

Leeds play us in a run of

    Watford away
    Us at home
    Sheffield United away
    WBA at home

that’s a tough run of fixtures

the 3 above us have to drop points at some point. We take points of Leeds were well in for top two

Leeds are the only team that worry me

From 15 minutes onwards, that performance was one to be proud of.
I think we're all hurting tonight, thinking about what could have been. The players will be hurting in the dressing room too, because they gave their all out there tonight. The best way to stop hurting will be to take their hurt and disappointment out on Derby and I fully believe they will.

We're right in this fight for the top 2 and we've proved that we're a match for anyone in this league. Home or away. How good is Le Fee on the ball? He's going to make such a difference, particularly when he plays in the middle. We only have Leeds to play of the top 4. The rest have to play each other, so points will be dropped.

On tonights showing, Burnley don't have the firepower to get a string of wins. They'll get quite a few draws and drop points accordingly. I hope Leeds beat Sheff Utd and Burnley, then we'll reel them 2 in. KTF

Some of the comments on twitter from our apparent fans are a disgrace tonight. Been arguing with someone who thinks Isidor is not good enough. FFS

    My mate backed

    - Isidor first goal
    - Sunderland win
    - Sunderland 1-0
    - Isidor 1-0 scorecast 45/1

He said all week we’d pinch it 1-0, Wilson

    Needed it for around £800

Felt like a loss coming out of the ground but would have taken a point beforehand. Credit to him for stepping up again, just wasn’t his might. Proud of the team and feel we are really in the mix now. Ref had zero control, wtf was he doing allowing the physio on and Trafford to take the piss.

Haven’t long been home, still gutted

I’ll take no joy in collecting my 0-0 winnings tomorrow

We’re nowhere near clinical enough, our games are always tight, even against poor opposition

Impressed with Le Fee but I hope we find room for him in the middle of the park

Think that’s been said many times! In the games we’ve drawn we’ve created chances by the bucketload mostly (haven’t seen the game at all tonight) and it’s the reason we’re 4th and not top!

Agree, I'm a huge huge Rigg fan - think we all are but he has been ineffective for a while

I actually thought he was good for the 1st 30 minutes but disappeared after that. We have to continue to develop players and give them minutes but as you said that can be off the bench

Le Fee had a 30 min patch last night where he was a different level to everyone in the pitch. Once he's up to match speed he could be the difference in us going up or hot

He mixes really well with jobe and Neil imo and could make arguably the best CM 3 in the league

Rigg started the season on the bench I think, browne got injured and he’s took his chance. Probably played way more than he was meant too with lack of options. Be nice to rotate him in and out. Still get plenty minutes

Exactly it's not dropping him completely, it's rotating the squad. I'd bring Adil and Mayenda in on Tuesday, probably for Rigg and Roberts

Mayenda looked decent when he came on imo, adil probably unlucky to be dropped but was always the easier option. Need to get ELF in the middle and try break down derby.

I was right at the front so it was tough to properly follow the game, especially down the other end but was Le Fee’s touch and pass to play Isidor in as special as it looked live?

Did not get to watch second half as had to leave for work but it certainly seems like we should have won the game.
First half I thought we grew into it after a slow 20 mins but we finished the half looking better and it seems we were better second half.

Been up with the wee one tonight since she can't sleep so watched the game back again

Overall we played really well, 1st 15 minutes was poor and we can't afford to start like that against the better attacking teams in the league - boro Leeds sheff wed are all very dangerous going forward and we have them all away soon.

Hume and Cirkin played as poor as I can remember 1st 30 minutes but loved how both worked their way into the game and dominated their wingers. Mepham started off shaky but after 10 minutes he was unreal, honestly one of the best CBs I've seen at the club. O9 was class all game, he's been poor recently imo but that was more like the O9 of this season.

Patterson was good in goals and I thought his kicking was better, a couple iffy kicks for sure but their GK had the same and he's supposed to be class with the ball at his feet

Jobe and Neil were class for me, both in different ways. Jobe pr9vided the physicality and looked to get us on the front foot so often Neil was brilliant at blocking the space and stopping Brownhill getting any success, while keeping us ticking over

Rigg drifted out the game too easily for me, I do think Le Fee will take his place in the next few weeks and I just want to see him impact games more as he's capable despite his age

Roberts was poor for me, worked hard but no real threat and needs to do more. I still feel someone who can challenge him is a must in January

Le fee is some player, some of the stuff he did tonight was just class - and that was him out of position and lacking match sharpness. His eye for a pass and close control is different to.what we have, and I can't wait to see him in a central area. I actually do get playing him wider until he's up to speed, I just don't love the balance it then brings to the team

Mayenda was very bright off the bench, loved his through ball to Isidor and I liked his shot that was blocked - brilliant defending by the lad

Finally Isidor, it was a weird night for him as I thought his all around game was good and he gave the 2 CBs one of the hardest matches they've had all season. However, you can't miss the chances he missed tonight. I do take exception to folk calling out his character tho, this is a guy that has fallen in love with this club and us and wants to do everything possible to make us successful. He took the 2nd penalty because he thought he could score, he thought he was the man to do it. I would much rather my CF did that than go hiding and pass the responsibility because he missed his previous one. As Neil says it took balls to do it and while he will be hurting more than any of us, it could be the making of him

Final word on our fans, just wow. All I could hear was you guys signing, so proud and the reception you gave isidor at the end was touching. We deserve success and I think this team might be the one to give us it. I said several times earlier in the thread how proud I am of this team, but I should have said this club - everything is pointing up and now it's for the players to go grab this chance with both hands!

Apologies for the long message, little one has ko'd on me and not wanting to wake her so you guys are getting all my thoughts lol
