Definitely highlights the lack of a clinical finisher in the squad, I rate Isidor highly, not as a penalty taker apparently but he's a very good CF. If he's not taking them then who? In a penalty shootout who are our best five? I can see why we're looking for a Cannon type.
Haven't read the previous comments so sorry if it's already been said. Trafford (who is linked with the Mags) came across as a right prick in the pitch side interview. He should have been carded for the first pen for time wasting as well.
Just come out of the game and all the 6 fingers are doing are celebrating penalty saves. We could have won by 4 on a good day. We played well. They have spent a fortune and apart from the first 15 we played well. Wish we had a left winger back mind.
Le Fee has only just got here probably isn't at 100% fitness and won't be up to speed with his teammates and tactics quite yet but he looked very very good! Excited as **** about the next match now! Love watching this team. They give everything and there is always a few moments of brilliance in there!
Proud of the lads tonight, commentators barely gave us a chance but we deserved at least a draw. Burnley game plan was hoof it to the corners and hope our fullbacks messed up. We cottoned on to that though and played the better football. Brave of Wilson to take the second, just wasn't his night.
The worst thing is that for the past 2 days everyone has been building up yo tonight with positive posts. All today has been been positive. Then bang as if by magic, the game starts and negative posts appear, after the game even more negative posts appear. Pisses me off
I'd like him to move thr ball quicker at times, it's the only fault I can find with him tbh Just quality, love him and Neil as a 2, just compliment each other so well. They both lack that little bit of creativity and that's why I want to see Le Fee alongside them Loved Mayenda's performance off the bench as well
I agree that he shouldn’t undermine him but his confidence was shot when he was stood there with the ball mate. Maybe he took it upon himself because nobody else offered? I’m not saying never take another penalty if you’ve already missed one, seen plenty of players score them after missing but he just didn’t look up to it and surely that body language was there for the lads to see too.. Could’ve ran over to RLB and got a second opinion while Trafford was play acting maybe? Change our taker at the last minute and play him at his own game. I’m just not having it that nobody else on the pitch can take a penalty, it’s a free shot at goal from 12 yards out it’s not hard. I think Clarke had 5 or 6 last season and scored them all.
No im looking at a post that said Neil shoudm have taken the ball off our striker and given it to someone else
