The problem in this team are the senior players. Players like Skrtel, Johnson, Lovren (not old but brought in as a senior player), Gerrard, Lallana, Lambert. These players are simply not contributing enough and they are letting down the youngsters.
Please tell me we weren't as bad as the highlights (what highlights?) on MOTD. Aside from the goal and a tame shot by Lallana did we actually create anything? The time out the team also seems to have made Migs worse, his future at the club is either very short or involves alot of sitting. It appeared that it was a good job we weren't playing a better team than Burnley.
Possibly the worst performance all season. Burnley only didn't win 3-0 due to their lack of quality. As for Mignolet, we had a good laugh in this thread when he came on, some people were happy to see him back... His first job was a goal kick, which went straight out of play. Next up his sleeve, minutes later, he hesitated to kick a ball clear and kicked it straight into their striker, a mad scramble took place and fortunately the ball didn't go in. Later in the game he had about 10 minutes to clear a ball, but waited....... and waited.......and waited like the useless f*** he is and it went out for a corner before he kicked it. There were more incidents too, but he is the crappest number 1 we have ever had, possibly the crappest keeper ever.
Our midfield is awful. Gerrard and Lucas can not play together. They can't control or dictate the tempo. They never have been able to. We are so easy to play against - press these two and our defenders, and we fall apart. Burnley controlled the game and were all over us. Our goal was against the run of play.
would say it all if you streamed it live rather than your muck or chose us on sky to watch. #obsessed #you can'tevengetlucky.
no..... we were a lot worse... we got lucky but i really expected it cos we played big teams and pretended to work hard and then just turned in a lazy one.
#matchoftheday I know your rubbish why would I watch you live? If you want obsessed look up the forum plank you keep guarding
True. I watched a stream (okay-ish) picture, and how we walked off at half time level..... Still, we deserved more than a point from the two previous league games (and throw the Everton at home game into that unlucky pot), but let's not delude ourselves that Swansea and Leicester are not going to be equally grinding and uninspiring if we get anything out of them either. Had to laugh at Dyce on MoTD though. Understandably disappointed, given their overall dominance, he had to say something, but ffs - they should have had a corner, but we then went and scored 'drirectly' down the other end as a result of that????? Not as if the ref awarded Migs a penalty, was it? Reminds me of the semi against the ****e a couple of seasons ago when they scored an offside goal, had two decent pen shouts against them and Coleman somehow survived three bookable offences. The first thing Cahill said afater the game? "Well we thought we never got any decisions out there"..... He must have some B/s in his dna, that Dyce.
If you're not going to catch the ball Clemence-like, punch it like Brucie. If you can't do either just Larry Greyson it into the six-yard box, appears to be his maxim.
