Don't understand all this talk of players with no leadership. What about that ginger bloke? - forgotten his name - Pirlo or something - a grafter and what skill!

Grass isn't always greener and all that... I remember them ****in howling about getting rid of Pardew. And as much as the guy is a ****in prick, he was the best thing for them at the time. Ashley saw the $$ signs (sorry, dont have a pound key on the keyboard haha) and let him got to Palace. Look at Palace now... From Pards to Carver. What a drop. Then in the summer they were screaming about investing, getting a proper manager in and trying to win the League.

Ashley spends 50million pounds, gets in a bloke who does have extensive experience, was a former England manager - the only thing he didn't do was get some proper defenders in (bar the one guy whos name I cannot remember.. muabama or something). Seems Ashley can't do anything right to please the Gawdee nation!

I still think they were right to ditch Pardew, he was a ****ing clown and still is, although he's got a decent squad of grafters under him now. Look at Monk for how quickly that can sour though. He's no tactician and he was given poor tools to work with at Newcastle.

What Newcastle need is a firefighter, but what they want is fast attacking football... they can't have both, nobody will deliver both, but they refuse to compromise.

How many have been on here saying they'd rather have a dead slug in charge than 'Fat Sam'? That's because they'd rather lose every week than have boring football that gets results.

They blame Mac but he's inherited a squad of ****e, one window won't change that... but because the players are such gutless cowards, they're gonna let him take the **** and the owner will have to make a decision at some point, to stick with Mac and risk going down in the long term, or bring in a firefighter and **** the fans off.

I always predict doom & gloom for the Mags, as a Sunderland supporter that's my job.

But, for the first time, I seriously really believe they can go down.

I hoped they would last time but the situation was a little different .......... all the fight seems to have gone out of the team very quickly this time.

The display against Leicester and Palace are the worst 180 minutes of football I've seen and that includes us.

When we've been beaten, like at Everton, it's been through mistakes and poor tactics ........ Newcastle just shrugged and gave up both times.

Not sure if that's serious or not as I could very easily see it being true <laugh>

<laugh> We were right to want Pardew out IMO, but we should have known that Ashley would find a Pardew mk 2.

Also, I don't think we'll go down. Our players are still decent and come out of their shells enough times a season to get 40ish points. You say this season is different but it really isn't, we've made our way through this league for the last 3 or 4 years by having modest peaks then devastating troughs. It's nothing new to us fans :(

The difference is that everyone at the club seems to see McClaren as a joke, supporters included.

Unless you sack him you'll go down .......... if the things he says in the meda are anything like what he says in training you're done for.

He's absolutely idiotic, this is one of his latest ........

"That's the key thing, that there's no panic. We know we're doing the right things every day," said the former England boss.

    Except match day <laugh>

Its still on the cards that the Mags will pull round, they have a decent squad and could easily go on a run like they did under Pardue when they won five in a row. Such a run will transform the whole debate, and although I also think Tuffty is hopeless, football is a funny old game, as we all know too well. Lets worry about our own predicament and hope Big Sam can keep working the magic, win the next three maybe, just to get a head start on our rivals, for the run in.<bubbly>
