From Klopp's words a couple of years ago, it's quite easy to read between the lines and see Klopp was pissed off with him being constantly injured and thought he was a slacker: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/34947564 There's been players in the who seem to be unable to avoid injury, like Duncan Ferguson, who was strong but his body didn't seem to able to take it, or our current boy Rolando Aarons, who is clearly too weak to be a professional football and will never have a proper career.......and then there's the other brigade who are constantly injured, i.e. players like Keiron Dyer, who always had pathetic little niggling injuries like hamstring pulls or "picking up a knock in training"; the likes of Shearer never got injuries like this because he rest properly and took care of his body, whereas Dyer was clearly out on the piss after every game. It's a strength of mentality to get yourself out of an injury cycle, which Sturridge clearly doesn't have, the fact that the only club in the Prem that would take him is the one that's significantly adrift at the moment of the table tells you everything; Sturridge has been found out now, no one anymore is being deluded that he can sort it out and become good again.

It's sad that Sturridge can't stay fit. I dreamed of seeing Carroll & Sturridge playing for the Toon but they will never be able to stay fit long enough. Very sad.
