Wolves look hungry but we're not giving them anything to feed on. Just realised how pun-y that sentence is... Anyway, not really seen enough of our front 3 yet. I'd prefer to see more width with these players but the diamond limits that some what.
Not really created anything yet. Wolves look more up for it in terms of closing down. Not sure why we are playing Redmond up top :-/ Hope it comes off!
If we're playing the diamond we really need Lafferty up front to hold the ball for Grabban to play off. Neither Grabban or Redmond can do that holding up job. I'd prefer Redmond on the wing any way.
Unfortunately Surman is proving me right thus far. He has been very ineffective and has given the ball away cheaply. Having said that no-one has been good. Wes is the only player working his socks off to win the ball and make something happen.
I think we are doing quite well. Wolves do not look dangerous, we are playing away. I think we should cut out the counter attacks stuff though, we don't look at all dangerous and just give the ball away.
Well? We have been poor in posession, hoofball up to Redmond and Grabban, we havent closed them down fast enough and we seem to give it away every time we get near it! Aside from not conceding, what exactly have we done well?
Our energy is good but nothing is coming of it. Seems every loose ball is going to a Wolves player. Passing isn't as sharp as it should be.
Grabban looks like the new Steve Morison. Poor stuff really, diamond isn't going to work. Midfield is absolutely non existent
Fine with the 0-0 at half time but can't help but think Redmond up front is causing us problems. We want him on the ball more and give him someone to play off. I think Lafferty would make a big difference up front with Grabban and Redmond just playing off him.
Our back 5 are playing with confidence and look water tight, i must concede that Rusty is doing a fine job at CB, Hoolahan is bright but we have not looked like scoring.
clearly not good enough in the 1st half, wolves been the better side, but things can only get better in the second, still think we can come away with a result of some kind. & i don't mean a loss.
Defence has been strong so far I think though. Few too many crosses but Turner and Russ have dealt with it well. I just really don't get this diamond with Redmond up front!!
