Budget thoughts?

He's playing the long game... The electorate are only interested in the vision and the policies not a TV popularity contest. All this TV debate stuff is but a mere sideshow created by a desperate media who will do anything to try and boost ratings. It all boils down to economic competence at the end of the day and Labour just doesn't have any.

Cameron is running scared and will soon be out of government....thank **** it cant come soon enough....<party>

Fair enough, that's your opinion. Of course the debates are not crucial to a democratic process, but I think Cameron comes off incredibly hypocritical and cowardly considering, back in 2010, he was arguing that televised debates were a necessary part of democracy. Now the polls are not as favourable and he is not in Opposition, he no longer sees their importance.

Say what you want about the debates, I think they offer a good insight into a person's natural authority, their ability to handle pressure, their character, the standard of their debating and articulation, as well as their ability to defend their passions and ideology.

Like him or hate him (I'm in the latter camp), it's Nigel Farage who will probably be best equipped to do well out of the debates because he's painting himself as an 'outsider' and, unlike the Green Party leader, he can string a sentence together.

1.8 Million Jobs created since 2010, A record number of people in employment, the fastest growing economy in the G7, the deficit nearly halved, inflation well under 2%,

Surely you can't give the Car Keys back to the people who crashed the Car in the first place?

History has shown us that it is always a labour Government that crashes the economy and its always the Tories who have to clear up the mess! We had the same thing happen in 1951,1970,1979 and again in 2010! They are addicted to TAX and Spend! <ok>
